Hey people I thought it'd be kinda cool to post one or more pics of the place we come from (like a pic of your house, your neighborhood, a landscape that you live close to.... anything like that), and a pic of the place you're going to live(or already do) in the US.

I'll go ahead and post mine....

Vitória, ES, Brazil. My apartment building is the first one on the left... I live here with my parents and sister. I've actually lived all my life in this neighborhood.

Dale, Indiana, USA. This is clearly a car add... but the house I'm going to leave in is right behind the car(the first one on the right). This car dealership is across the street so I got the pic from their website!

Hope you all share your pics too!

I live in Cleveland Georgia, located in the foothills of the Appalachians. We are the home of the Cabbage Patch babies and Babyland General Hospital. Just down the road is Alpine Helen Georgia, a major tourist attraction in the Northeast Georgia Mountains. Here are a few pictures of my area...right to left:

First.....downtown Helen Ga - recreated to resemble a Bavarian german town, or so I'm told

Second.....the Sautee-Nacoochee Indian Mound - a love story surrounding forbidden love between warring tribes

Third.....Mount Yonah - Yonah is the Cherokee word for "bear"

A few pics of my country of origin, French Guiana or "Guyane Francaise". A Senator one said: "Guiana is the "Sleeping Beauty" who I've never managed to awaken". Im my land, things simply don't change (much) no matter how hard one tries. And I suppose it is the beauty of it

Mexico were Javier used to live. This is El Tajin, it's actually about 2 hours from where he lived but I don't have a picture of his town on my computer.

Looking out the front of our house at our front yard in Pineola, NC.

Edited to remove photos and resize!

Let's see if this works.

Okay that didn't work either so you just don't get to see! Sorry! I am pretty new at this posting pictures thing and they are huge when I put them on here. I can't get it to make them smaller.

This is called a "carbet". Actually, it is not exactly a house but more of a tourist attraction nowadays for tourists! You'll find one of these sometimes on the side of the road, usually far from town and deep in the forest, or on the river bank. In remote areas, Amerindians know how to build them and still live there. It's actually quite a bit of work to sweep the ground every day and make sure grass and bushes don't grow back. Amerindians usually keep their living quarters neat and clean, mainly for health and safety reasons.

Now I live in NYC now (a different jungle) but I'm sure that everyone has seen photos of the Big Apple.

Waiting forward to seeing your pictures. I heard Australia is beautiful!
