Hi all,  I have followed this thread for a while but never posted before, thanks all for sharing your experience!  

 

I have my N400 interview scheduled in August with a pending ROC (I751), the interview notice didn't mention anything related to the I751. I'm hoping that it will be a combo interview and they can approve my I751 at the same time. I have sent a service request to ask if the interview will be a combo interview but seems like I won't hear back until end of July. Anyone else have similar experience with a pending I751 at the time of N400 interview? what did you do to have them do a combo interview for you? what evidence (supporting docs) to bring to the interview?  please share if you have any tips/advice. Thank you for your help in advance! 

 

Note: my filed office is in Holtsville, long island. I have filed my I751 on March, 2018 and still pending approval.  I filed my N400 based on the 3 year married to a US citizen.

Okay, I called in and spoke with a Tier 2 IO and even she was confused to why I still haven’t received the Oath letter. She said my case was approved on the same day of the interview and now she opened a Service Request. She gave me a Reference number, oddly which ends in MSC... and said to wait for a reply. 

She said I should have received a oath date by now. 

So call the USCIS and speak with a tier 2 or upper IO, they will escalate your case and will give you an update, and from which I have been told, the reply is usually through email and mail.

Ok, I will do the same tomorrow. how long do they generally take to answer, as in how much time should set aside for the call? I hope they can escalate it as they did for you! thanks for letting me know.

Has anyone else been transferred to NJ?  We received an email that the case was transferred to a different field office and then an interview at Newark, NJ.  If you were transferred, was your oath scheduled in your home region or the new region? 

 

The interview was fine and the interviewer told my husband that he passed.  The case status changed to approved six weeks ago (the day of the interview) but we've had no update since.  The interviewer did say it would take 2 months, so we're not worried at this point.

Apparently people who were interview until April were lucky as they got their oaths extremely fast. And due to new changes in DHS, now interviews are being pushed to change the huge backlog and oaths are being pushed to the ends. SMH

Thats the generic info they give you and she was basically a Tier 1 who don't posses more info on the case. Call again, actually do a service request through the website, https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/Intro.do and choose the case outside normal processing. 

 

Just today I got an update that I'm in line for Oath. So this step has definitely worked for me. Call them up and at the same time, do put a service request through the website. Also, yes you have to mention that you need to speak with a Tier 2 or above IO.

Let me know what goes on.

I did not realize you were not already in line for the oath. this is the status I have seen since may; that I am in line and will be contacted when it is scheduled...

Yeah, one of my other friend did the something and she also recently got the oath letter in the mail. She has a oath in few days. 

Any progress on your end?

Did they also have their interview at federal plaza? Do you have an oath date too now? I am currently on hold- hoping someone is around at this time to help.

so I just called and tier 2 had gone home for the day. the lady told me to wait until the 90 day mark and anyone can put in a request with the interviewing officer for an update. I will call back next Wednesday as it will be 90 days at that point.ugh.

Just want to share the somewhat good news that my Estimated Completion Time updated this week. I am a December 2018 filer, and for the longest time, my ECT was Jan 2020. Then a couple of months ago, it updated to July 2020 and stayed that way until this week. It is now back to January 2020.

 

I know this timing is indicative, could change again, etc but I see this update as a good sign ;)
