So arrived 7:40 although letter stated 8:30. Went in 8. Started 9 with checking spelling of names. Then after 240+ people were done. We were told to register to vote right there. Next thing I know a group of 3rd graders walk in and sit in seats judges or high members would seat. I was confused because I never read of that. It happens that they were on a field trip and the judge asked to help to sing the pledge of allegiance. Before we sang the pledge we took the oath, then we were told about voting and juror duty. Long speech about how we should celebrate and that we should feel accomplished. Then after the judge left we lined up for certificates. Judge came in 11:10 We were out 11:40. Went to the postal office to apply for a passport but not before getting a few pictures. A great day.

Thank you :) . And I forgot to add no family members were allowed in the courtroom. They were watching in the cafeteria a floor above.

I guess because of space constraints (due to the school trip) family members weren't brought down.  When I had my oath at Camden Plaza, family was escorted into the courtroom right before the judge arrived and the actual ceremony began.  I'm sorry your guest(s) couldn't witness the actual oath.

Congrats on becoming a citizen!

So far 2 days for me.

Interview approved May 7 Federal Plaza

May 7, case changed to oath ceremony will be scheduled

I heard people say name change could extend oath date, I asked IO if this is true she said NO. I changed my name and so far In line for my oath

Mine still says "We approved your application". Now I'm having second thoughts regarding the name change thing. They were literally giving out oath dates right after the interview.

Thank you same to you.

My estimated case completion was Apr 2019 then it disappeared.

Since yesterday they added 5 more month, now estimated case completion October 2019.

🤦‍♂️

Well, I was wondering what would happen to my May 2019 estimated completion date once June 1 rolls around.  Now I know... new estimated completion of November 2019 I guess!

Thanks for sharing the info.

Don't worry, that very same thing happened to me and within 4-5 weeks, I received the notification for the interview.

My paper N-400 application was received by Lewisville address on April 29th and I still haven't heard back from them (no check cashed, no sms/email, nothing). Is anyone in similar situation? How long does it take for them to get back to you? I'm beginning to get worried that they lost my application.

OMG, I hope that is just an automated adjustment given we are now in May. When did you originally submit your application? Manhattan?

That’s good to know. Do you think the system just automatically adds time if the predicted completion date lapses?
