I mean the point of the timeline is to help others. I am not sure that the 2018 timelines are relevant to this year anymore. The old posts will still contain the old timeline, but, it might be getting a bit lengthy now.

This might apply to 2017 filers but not 2018.  The median processing time in NYC is basically one year.  We aren't even 5 months into 2019.  How does removing 2018 filers make any sense?

Could be a good idea to make the timeline chart a little more condensed for easier reading by removing the 2017 filers who have completed their Naturalization.  Keep in mind, those are the members who have stuck around in this thread to offer up advice from experience to the 2018/2019 filers, however, so their overall attendance/assistance in answering any questions in this thread may or may not drop if they feel they are no longer even considered "part of the group" of NY/Queens/LI filers any more.  

 

**not saying this will absolutely happen, just how some older filers who've been continuing to participate in this thread/stuck around to advise others through the process since the very beginning/inception of this thread may feel**

 

I dunno, I'm a peace-keeper at heart...probably partly 'cause I'm Canadian lol

I am the one who suggested that and my naturalization happened March 2018 - I still stick around and help others, but, I think the timeline chart is getting very hard to read. I think my timeline is irrelevant now to be honest.

I think the 2018 timelines are still very much relevant, since we're still fresh into 2019 and gives the newer filers more of a complete timeline to refer to by keeping the 2018 ones.  Plus, many 2018 filers haven't even completed their oaths yet, according to the chart.

 

I naturalized in 2017 and still continue to follow this thread and participate---I'm just saying some people may or may not is all.

 

Up to Dinosaur and what he/she wants to do.  I just noticed that 2017 filers take up roughly 12 lines in the timeline chart---might not make that much of a difference in easier reading 😕

I believe we can remove the 2017 and retain the 2018 and 2019, this way people can easily see the most recent and relevant timeline.

Hello everyone, 

I came here today to express my frustration after my interview that was yesterday May 2nd after 9 month, 

so my case is really simple I applied for citizenship in July 2018 after 5 years in the us, I had 5 regular years,

so everything was good for my interview I passed the tests answered the yes no questions and after she started asking about my trips I go to my country every year I stay a month and come back but the IO said that it shows on their system that I was out of the country for more than a year in 2016 but it’s not true I had stump on my passport but she said that she needs more proofs because the system shows that and gave me the form saying that the decision can not be made till I send the proof, I’m so mentally tired it’s just gonna take longer i don’t understand How is this possible? I’m lost

Once you're actually scheduled into your oath ceremony, it takes generally 7-10 business days to receive the letter in the mail.

Keep checking your online case status for updates.  What does your status say now?
