I did my interview last Thursday 25th The IO handed me a note that I passed and recommended for approval but nothing change still show we scheduled your interview? He mentioned that the local office is busy and having a bunch of cases ahead of mine and the supervisor needs to approve it after his approval? Should I be worry ? or this is just a normal thing?

Dude you have to relax, you asks the same questions to a different groups and I believe someone responded to you already about this question. You've been here for quiet so long and I believe you know each field office process each applciation differently, some were faster some were not. So you have to wait, I know its annoying, but your only option is to wait until you are required to follow up. Focus on your group because you will get more vital information if you focus on your field office group.

You're done with the critical part which is the interview and civic test and you got the recommendation for approval, you're one step closer so its a matter of waiting. Be thankful you reach this far compared to others facing problems with their application.

My status was updated to “We scheduled your interview.” on 4/24. My PD is 8/6/2018 and local office is Booklyn. Wondering if anyone has similar timeline.

Hi There following the post closely. Congratulations to all who got approved n done with this journey with USCIS. And hats off to them who are done but still active n help and guide others thank you. 
I have new update on my case n would like to have guidance n help if any one experienced something similar. 
I had my interview on February 6th and that day my IO request me come back for biometrics on February 15th. I went and did it only my IO was absent that day so other IO took care of me and told me only my IO who took my interview can make decision so wait. After waiting 3-4 weeks I called 800 number and spoke to L2 officer he confirmed that my biometrics are uploaded n all is fine and now when it is almost 82 days after I received call in notice from Federal plaza with explaining three lines
Ask for: Biometrics information collection
Reason for appointment: Review of your application
Bring with you: your Permanent Resident card

Please suggest or guide if anyone experienced this before.

Can anyone share their experience with the post naturalization social security dance in Brooklyn? My understanding is the wife needs to turn up in person with her certificate of naturalization but it's not entirely clear which office exactly, if she needs an appointment, and how long it might take.

You can show up at any SSA office and just let the person at reception know what you're there for and they'll tell you which option on their ticket-generating system to pick. You will show them the ID, Naturalization certificate and the social security card and they'll update the records and send you a new card in the mail.

Thanks. I've gone to the card center in Brooklyn before but I suspect that's not the office she's supposed to go to now.

 

Also what's the point of getting a new card? I don't see a footnote on her current card that indicates any sort of immigration status. She was assigned her SSN and received her card after arriving on a CR-1. It's not entirely clear to me what they need to update exactly.

If there's has been a name change, then she should get a new one. Otherwise, I don't think it'd be necessary.

No, it's the same on every state, the only difference are the local government officials, you have to know who's your governor and US representative, and right now the speaker of the house was changed from Paul Ryan to Nancy Pelosi. You also have to know your state capital, which is Albany for New York.
