Hi Everyone,

I am struggling to post my timeline

I filed N400 in December 8th, 2017, via the dropbox in Texas, Lewisville and had my fingerprints in Brooklyn on Jan 9th.  Since then I have had zero updates, I have an IOE receipt number, and when I try to look online it give me a message "At this time USCIS cannot provide you with information for your case. Please contact the USCIS Contact Center at 1-800-375-5283 for additional information."

When I call, they say that the problem is with their online system.  However, it has remained the same fr 4 weeks now.

Can anyone give me advice? have you had the same thing or a similar timeline?

I would schedule an InfoPass and go try to get an answer from one of the officers there. When you call the customer service line, ask to speak with a Level 2 Officer right away. They should be able to help you.

I had a different issue, but, I kept showing up at 26 Federal Plaza every few days, some days with an appt and some days without until one officer actually went out of her way to help me.

Be persistent. This is the advice I can give you.

I'm on the same boat ("At this time USCIS cannot provide you with information for your case"). On other forums I see a lot of people receive the same message. I never thought it was an issue, but looking forward to your update after you speak to the L2 officer.

Sadly not much of an update.  They said it is a glitch with the system, especially with IOE numbers it seems and I am in line for interview, same as since January.

I've been in the same boat for a while now. my status has not changed since december 18th when i did the biometrics and now i get the status that USCIS cannot provide any information. its going on 9 months with nooooo information whatsoever. very frustrating. Wheni try to make an infopass appointment there aren't any available. Have no clue what else to do.

Yeah, there will never be any infopass appts. You should always check around 1 am or 6 am, you'll find dates are two weeks out. Works every time.

I had called a tier 2 Officer (after talking with Tier 1). We filed end of May 2018. They told me about 9 months wait time. Yours is definitely way longer. Did you sign on to the USCIS update site to see what they have?

Hi everybody! I really hope anybody can help w an advice or something.

So, my husband went to the interview and everything went great. However the officer gave him a paper stating a decision cannot yet be made, but reassured him that it’s only a formality to check his documents by a supervisor and that he would get accepted.

i must mention- he has an arrest for unlawful possession of weed from 2004. He did not go to jail, he just paid the fine to bail himself the same day and that was it.

Now we got a letter in the mail asking for a certified disposition of the arrest (which we manage to get), but they also ask for the court transcript. We have been trying to get it, but we have been told that the court transcripts are being kept only for 7 years. So we thought about getting an official paper stating that and explaining that the court transcript is not available anymore, but we have a hard time getting this and everyone is just passing us around. Meanwhile, I managed to get an info pass appt for 22nd in Long Island and we were thinking to go with the certified disposition and explain that we can’t get the court transcript. Any thought on this? Any similar situations?

Thank you in advance .

I had a friend (who finally got her citizenship) but was detained fro a shop lifting incident. She was not arrested but had to go to a class or something. She got her citizenship application refused because she did not provide the Court Transcript, full information on the disposition etc....She reapplied (and $785 later again) submitted everything. Her shoplifting situation had been some 13 years ago

I’ll tell my husband to keep bothering these ppl maybe somebody agrees to either give him an official letter or give him the transcript. But how did your friend managed to get the court transcript? Bc we were told per NY state law, the transcripts are being kept only 7 years.

Did he go through an Attorney? I believe she got that from that lawyer. Also, there was a class she took which she thankfully kept her attendance or maybe passing grade? (I think it is like defensive driving)

so after speaking to a tier 2 officer, he says because it has been so long he will put in a service request to the field office to see where they are in the process and what an estimated time for an interview will be. He says that i should get a letter from the field office in 2 weeks...lets see how that goes. sometimes i feel like they just say things to get us off the phone. On his end he sees that an interview request was made and the case is awaiting an actual date.

Here's the thing though: I had a problem with my process and after numerous calls and visits and L2 calls and a bunch of service requests, I was always told the same thing: everything looks good and you should just wait.

When I got sick of it, I decided to keep showing up there every day and try to speak to an officer, etc etc.. Until one day an officer heard me come to ask about my case three days in a row, and volunteered to take a look at my case. She looked into it and told me that my file has been sitting in the wrong place for the past eight months (after my interview) and she physically went and took the file and put it where it's supposed to be. She also got me the oath notice while I was there that I waited for for 8 months.

Hope this helps.
