Good morning

I’ll appreciate any help and opinion.

I had my combo interview (I-751 and N400) on Wednesday at the Brooklyn office. The officer was extremely nice. At the end he gave me a paper saying ‘decision can’t be made ‘ he said everything is good because I had two applications he needs to approve my I/751 first that will take sometimes. He said I’ll hear something in 1 or two days. But as of today I have not heard anything and status remains the same ‘interview was scheduled’ . Does anybody have idea how long it can take ?

Hey everyone, I’m kinda new here. Having an issue with my current N400 application, IF ANYONE has ANY advice I’d greatly appreciate it. Here’s the timeline

FIled based on residency in Manhattan. App is at NBC

Case received: May 24, 2020

Biometrics Reuse notice: 02/11/2021

AND NOTHING STILL

I have contact Senator Gillibrand, they haven’t been able to get any new info, they said it was within normal processing time. Today the time shortened and now I’m outside of normal processing times. I submitted a request and emailed the senator again. USCIS processing times page says they’re currently reviewing apps submitted on June 17, 2020 which is 1 months after my application received date!!!

Thank you all

If I was you, I'd also do the following:

- Contact your representative (If you're in 12th district, Carolyn Maloney's office is particularly helpful)

- File a case with the USCIS ombudsman

- Start sending an 'Out of processing time request' every month

Other than that, there isn't a great deal else you can do unless you want to sue them.

I did all of that, send an out of processing time request and they said: we cannot give you an update on this case.

ombudsman hasn't replied since, its been a month.

representatives haven't gotten back to me still

I'm losing it

Unless you want to sue, there isn't too much else you can do right now.

I'd keep sending an out of processing time request every 30 days.

Are there any other reasons why it could be taking longer? eg: complicated immigration history, unfriendly country of Birth?

Spoke to a rep on the phone and basically forced them to put me in queue to speak to the officer, I was told to expect a call within the next 30 days.

Can't think of anything complicated. Everything is pretty straightforward I think.

I called a few attorneys and they said suing isn't good right now because USCIS just uses COVID as an excuse and that's enough of an excuse right now.

I keep reading about people who applied way after myself  and have completed their journey a while ago.

One other thing I've read that you could try is making a FOIA request. It may or may-not help, but I don't think it can hurt.

There's a thread here about others that are doing it:
