Glad to see some movement with Long Island and good luck.   I filed April 21, 2020.   Did you have get biometrics or did they use the old one?

I did my biometrics again, they were completed in December 2019 about a month after I filed.

It's been a week since i was approved (with a federal holiday in there, to be fair), and no change in my status, "Your interview was scheduled". The IO told me I was approved, and gave me a printout that indicated, "Congratulations" etc.

I m concerned because folks on here have had issues at that stage

Perhaps relevant: during the interview, when the IO showed me how my name would appear on the certificate, I pointed out there was a mispelling (the last letter of my very long name was missing -- this happened a lot on USCIS notifications, but my name also printed out correctly on stuff like my green card -- and was correct in my N400 filing). Anyway, I asked her to fix, and now I m worried this is causing some glitch.

What do you think I should do?

(Btw, this is Manhattan)

My expected completion date got pushed by two additional months. They've been consistent in my case by adding 2 extra months of processing every 2 months 🙃

Hi Julio i submit my n-400 December 8 and as today I didn’t received the fingerprints appointment since you submit before than me I would like to know if you finally gets your biometric appointment?

Completed and passed my interview yesterday at the NYC (Brooklyn) field office. Here's roughly how it went:

Interview was scheduled for 10:15am. I entered the building at 10 and was seated in the waiting room with my number by 10:15. Everyone is masked and seats are blocked off to enable social distancing. My number was called after around 30 mins, and the interviewer walked me to another waiting room, asked me to have a seat and said she'd be back. I waited here for maybe 15 mins until she called me again and walked me to the interview room. The room itself has a perspex divider, and you sit with plenty of distance between you. The only time you need to get closer is to review something on the iPad.

The interviewer was polite and straightforward. First she asked me questions about my divorce (I applied based on the 5 year rule, but received my green card through marriage) and why it didn't work out. I was asked to show the original of the proof of divorce that I had submitted with my application, and answer some basic questions about my ex (full name, citizenship). Then, after basic questions (name, address etc) we moved onto the civics questions. The six I was asked were:

- Who signs bills?

- When do men have to register for selective service?

- How old do citizens have to be to vote?

- Name one war fought in the 1800s

- Why does the flag have 50 stars?

- What was the main concern during the Cold War?

After this, we moved on to reading and writing. I had to read one question aloud from the iPad, and then write a sentence with my finger. Then we went through all the standard yes/no questions from my application. Right after that, she congratulated me and told me I had passed. She asked if I had to go to work or if I had some time to wait, and when I said I could wait she told me that they could schedule my oath ceremony while I waited and give me the letter before I left, so I opted for this. Finally, she took copies of all my passports and printed me a form saying that I had been recommended for approval. She walked me back to the waiting room and congratulated me. I waited for maybe another 30 minutes before I was called to the window and handed an oath ceremony letter, scheduled for next Friday 1/22 in the same building.

Right after I left I checked my status online and it had already updated to say my oath ceremony was scheduled.

2013 7/15 I-129F sent, 7/18 received Dallas lockbox, 7/22 NOA1, 10/22 NOA2, 11/15 NVC Case Created, 11/20 NVC Shipped, 11/25 Consulate received, 11/28 Packet 3 received/returned, 11/29 Medical, 12/9 Packet 4 received

2014 1/9 Interview - Approved, 1/15 CEAC - Issued, 1/17 Visa in hand, 2/5 POE: LAX, 4/4 Married!, 4/8 AOS/EAD/AP filed, 4/14 NOA1, 5/7 Walk-in biometrics, 5/19 EAD/AP approved (expedited), 5/22 EAD/AP mailed, 5/23 EAD/AP received, 7/29 Interview waiver letter

2015 4/13 AOS approved (no interview), 4/22 Green card received

2020 1/14 N400 filed

HI All-

I wanted to finally share with you (my online fam) my citizenship experience in case it is helpful to some of you. This forum has been of great help to me through the process and I greatly appreciate the support of the community here.

Queens Filer

11/27/19 N400 Filing Date

12/10/20 Notification online that interview has been scheduled

12/11/20 Interview notice posted online

01/14/21 Interview - approved

02/19/21 Oath - scheduled

Interview Experience

7:45am went through security at Fed plaza then 9th floor, which sent me to 4th floor

8:00am my interview time was at 8:00am and that's exactly when I entered the waiting room. Guy at front asked me the usual Covid questions and handed me a piece of paper with a letter and number (I presume my waiting #). There were 3 other people in the waiting room already when I came in

8:05am called in before everyone else. The interviewer was a very nice lady, very efficient. She said that we were going through the questions so fast that the computer was lagging and she had to wait for it to keep up with us :D

8:25am she handed me a letter and told me to go to another room on the same floor to get my oath letter

8:50am I was out of the building with the oath letter in hand for 2/19/21.

Wishing good luck to everybody!
