Hi there! Sharing my timeline (and hopefully will have good news to share with getting an interview scheduled sometime soon!)

Applied September 23, 2019

Brooklyn Office

Expected Case Completion Time: September 2020, but it has said "Case is taking longer than expected" for about 3 weeks...

Can't keep staring at those words on the screen! Fingers crossed interview gets scheduled soon.

Actually it's October 24, according to - https://www.elections.ny.gov/votingdeadlines.html

"If honorably discharged from the US Military or have become a naturalized US Citizen after October 9, 2020, you may register in person at the Board of Elections up until October 24, 2020."

So, I just randomly checked my N400 status, and saw I've been scheduled for interview. Finally!

The interview letter hasn't showed up yet in the docs tab. I don't think I'll be able to register to vote in time. 😥

Are they doing same day oaths in NYC? I'll request them in advance anyway. I have a somewhat valid reason, I'm an undergrad cybersecurity major and qualify for many national security program scholarships. I went to the USCIS NYC office last year (Dec) with my mom, it was her interview, the officer was so nice, he told me what was was happening with my N400 at the moment, then gave me career advices.

Case accepted Oct 8th 2019, Queens NY office.

One of my friends got a notification that the interview is scheduled.

Friend applied on Sept 26, 2019.

Queens filer, New York City. Interview date: TBD

Last week we saw someone who applied on Sept 17, 2019 from Queens, NY, got their interview scheduled also. This shows things are finally moving forward.
