I just checked online and I can see the Oath Document it is Friday December 13th, at 10AM in New York 500 PEARL STREET. 

 

1.5 months... Not bad... I wish it would have been a little earlier.

In terms of timing, I had my interview in Manhattan 10/9, the website updated to "oath scheduled" on 10/18, the actual letter was uploaded 10/21 and my oath is 10/31 (this Thursday!!!).

let me check with my friends - still trying to figure out if they can come (although I know the ceremony is a little bit of a let down at that facility). Definitely planning to have a book with me!

Yeah my friend told me that nobody can come in  Her BF had to stay outside. No anthem sang, no picture taken.

Kinda in and out at the courthouse.

Shame, my cousin had a some nice pictures taken in FL last year.

Just got my document. I'll be there too! 

 

I've not read anywhere that a ceremony is scheduled so far ahead and this is totally messing up my travel plans around Christmas but hopefully I'll manage to get a rushed passport.

@sgzryou will have no issues getting a passport in time.  Check out the passport tracker thread in the subforum.  I got mine in about 6 working days which is pretty normal for expedited.  There is also the urgent option at the NY passport office - go there with flight details and they will process same day or shortly thereafter

Seems longer than for those from Manhattan who are interviewed in Manhattan - seems to be just a few weeks for them.

Hello VJ followers,

My husband had his interview today 10-31-19 at Newark, NJ and he passed the interview.  I would like to share our experience for other VJ members that are still waiting.  Please feel free to ask any questions.

 

My husband’s case was transferred to Newark, NJ even though we live in Manhattan. We took a taxi to get to Newark and we got there a little bit before 8am and the interview was scheduled for 8:30 am and he was called at 9:30 am. The officer was an old man and according to my husband he was a nice person. On our way back we took bus 62 to Newark Penn Station and then we took the train to Penn Station 34 th Street. The interview for him was very fast 10 minutes approximately, but I saw people there with interviews that lasted 30 minutes. I scanned a lot of evidence when I submitted N400 online for my husband and probably that was the reason why they didn’t ask for any documents. They only asked him for his green card, passport, driver’s license and the transcript for 2018 because the officer had all the previous years in the system. I will recommend to print out the form N400 with all the answers submitted online and study that information because the officer asked him all the information submitted in the application. He was asked 6 civis questions only because he got all of them correct. Then he had to read a sentence out loud and write a sentence in a tablet but with a pen, they don’t have a keyboard. They asked a lot of questions about our relationship since he applied under the 3 years rule married to an US citizen and there is an age difference between my husband and I. They even asked him where we met and if we didn’t had any issues before with any immigration process because of the age difference and my husband responded that we have been together 11 years and we have never had any issues because the age difference. Other than that it was an smooth process for us. Hope this review will be helpful for other people. Wish you all the best.

may be I’m asking repeatedly, but can anybody please tell me how to it takes to schedule an interviews after ‘case is ready to be scheduled for in interview’ ? My case has been ready since late September and still waiting for an interview appointment. Any guess ? I’m asking about Brooklyn office to be more specific
