So you feel that there is no source of facts we can trust?  I feel you are strongly overstating the bias built into the media, possibly because they are bringing facts that don't fit your view.

 

Facts are facts. There are a variety of biases in which facts are highlighted, reported on or emphasized but the answer is to consume information from a variety of sources and think critically.

Like the fact of the Russian hacking narrative?  Still waiting for the biased mainstream media to bring us some of those facts.  In fact the only credible story on the DNC hacking was from a Left Wing source and the mainstream media has paid it scant attention.

Facts are in the eye of the beholder.  A lot of things from the biased mainstream medi are presented as facts and we find out later they aren't.  There is a great thread here with a lot of examples of the media lying.  CNN seems to be the biggest culprit, but you can find examples from all the major sources as well as those with a more Left or Right slant.

   No they are not. Facts are facts. Opinion is in the eye of the beholder. That is the issue.

The thing is, there is no idelogy evident. The author is an Oxford professor , Tory and expert on propaganda.

Still opinion, so the facts are questionable.  Regardless, as said earlier, someone could do the same study of those on the extreme left as they also have their cult idols such as Marx, or Sanders.  As to these groups acting like cults, that is probably true, but like most cults, they tend to be well marginalized.

Yes, facts are facts.  In fact, I remember in the month or two before the election was completed, we were told my SEVERAL sources that it was a fact that Donald Trump would ever be President.  Ever.  Fact.

Actually, when I find something of interest, I research it, and need to find similar facts on multiple sources before I believe it.  Makes REAL news very exhausting.

Are you absolutely SURE about that?  I recall that eggs were bad for you.  Then they weren't.  Red meat can kill you via cholesterol.  Then it was ok.  So many facts out there.  Until they aren't.

Well, 150 years ago, it was a fact that owning slaves was a good thing.  A few years before that, it was a fact that the earth was flat.  Some think it is a fact that we never landed on the moon.  For as long as I can remember, it was a fact that Columbus discovered America.  Facts change sometimes.
