I have been following this page of late, thanks to all for the lovely updates. In the mean time my case was approved, documents were submitted to nvc, I have been scheduled for a interview next week, my wife resides in the States. I got married in 2015 but by then we already had a lovely son abroad. Please what evidences do I really need to take along with me for the interview in Lagos aside the w2 forms I was requested to bring along for the joint sponsor we used while filling. I have enough family pictures, emails and call logs.

IRS Tax for 3years(2014,2015,2016) from your joint sponsor,Original&1photocopy each of all documents you submitted to USCIS and NVC,Police Character Certificate,Medical result&vaccination record, 2passport photographs(5cm×5cm)unexpired passport,DS 260 confirmation page,Interview  Appointment Letter. I think that's all you need. Did your wife make you a beneficiary in her life insurance?

Don't forget to update the house about your interview.

Good luck..

Thank you so much, I got everything ready from my medicals to police report and the rest. In the interview letter sent to me, they requested for the most recent federal income tax return or a photocopy of sponsors IRS transcript, and any relevant W-2s does this translate to the current year or most recent, you mentioned 3years in your reply, please I need to know on time. Thanks for your prompt response.

House!!! I'm back here to feed you all back how it went today at the Lagos embassy. My appointment time was 6:45am, visa class IR-1.

Got checked in and by 7am was already in the hall, my original civil docs were checked, the W-2 for my co sponsor was submitted while fiber prints were taken.

I waited in line for about 40mins or so before my number was called.

My finer prints were retaken again and I swore to tell the truth.

Questions:

VO: who is calling you to the United States?

Me: my wife

VO: tell me about your wife

Me: she's....bla...bla

VO: what does she do

Me: told her her profession

VO: have you been married before

Me: no

VO: holds on to the system........

Do you have a son?

Me: yes

VO: where does he stay?

Me: back in the states with my wife.

VO: returns the excess docs I submitted and requested for the Affidavit of support from my co sponsor.

VO: your visa is approved, gives me two sheets of white paper, one for pickup and the second one for green card payment.

VO: pick up your visa in the next 10 working days, congratulations....

Visa Approved!!!

Quick question .. Visa pictures for interview... Are they your regular size passport pics?

No. 2copies of 5cm X 5cm is what you need for your visa interview.

Hi everyone, please I have interview date and I need answers for some questions, kindly assist

1. Am I going to pay any immigrant fee to the embassy before the interview or is it after??

2. Is it compulsory to print all the chats on whatsapp as evidence of communication but we talk most time on phone and skype with my wife and kids

3. Should I expect any document from the embassy before the interview or just start preparing my original/photocopies for the interview??

Thank you .

1. No , until you pass your visa interview then you will asked to pay $220 to issue your green card and sent to your  valid address in the USA.

2. Well you never might tell what questions you will be asked, via which ever means you communicate, have some evidences.

3. No document from them, follow the instructions on your interview letter closely, your original civil documents should be intact with the dates unchanged.

Let's hear your feedback after all is done.
