Hello. My husband had applied and filed for my I 130 application last year in August 2016. We are still waiting for the approval notice. Im a bangladeshi national but living in Dubai , UAE. My husband lives in Dallas but my case was sent to Nebraska service centre.

We've  been closely following the Nebraska processing times report on uscis website. Currently it shows they're processing cases as of date 26 November 2016. What does that mean for me? My hubby filed case in August and I believe he got receipt notice in mid December. So does that mean I'll have to wait till Nebraska reaches mid December date for us to get approval notice?

Hi dear. As far as I know isn't the date that you file application on is also your priority date? My husband filed application on August 23 last year.

Yes he did get one in October maybe mid October. But then in December he was asked to submit additional information about my last 5 year education, residence address, work history etc. This was done for police verifiction and then in mid December he got notified that now file is complete. Ever since then we just waiting for the next update from USCIS.

It is unusual they are taking this long, even for a place as agonizingly slow as Nebraska. We were August 2016 filers as well and my wife has had her green card for a couple months now. Definitely call USCIS and get a supervisor to look at it.

USCIS does but usually require this of the beneficiary as the USCIS stage is all about the petitioner. NVC requires the type of information you have listed in this post.

It took us a year and 10 months to get our NOA2 due to security checks. We did info pass twice. We got our congressman involved. And after a year and 10 months we got it. Just make an info pass and if they didn't work get your congressperson involved.

It will be helpful if you fill up your timeline. Even with RFE( in December), waiting time seems longer. Have your husband call USCIS and talk to a tier 2 operator .He can also communicate with local congressmen and get him involved

Hi. Thanks for your suggestion. I checked my case Status on USCIS site and it sys case received on 13 December last year. Though he filed in August but i guess due to rfe no progress was made until he submitted the required evidence about my educational and work history here in Dubai.
