My Visa Journey (F2A minor applicant)

Since both of my parents are in the U.S.A I had a hard time processing my Visa Journey with my sister. There's a lot of SPAs, and authorization but this how it went for me,

On January 15, 2016 I received my NVC Welcome Letter.

My sister who's in America was the one who did all the processing like the paperworks needed by the NVC.I was so clueless back then. I just sent her what we needed to send like birth certificates, photocopies of my passport, Nbi. My priority date was April 3 2015.

On February 2017 my priority date became current

Actually I don't know how the process works, I just do what they tell me to do.

I didn't even know that this year I'll be able to get my Visa

On July 8, 2017
I received my appointment letter from the NVC  I was shocked to know that I will have my interview on August 16, I became really nervous at this point.

July 17 I went to St. Luke's for my medical. ( I was nervous too)

It was really a long process, there's a lot of waiting and waiting and waiting some more to only know that in the end I will come back tomorrow for my vaccinations and for my results

After that the long agony of waiting for my interview was so hard to endure I was so eager to complete all this process

I prepared all my papers for the interview ALL

CENOMAR (even if I am still a minor)
BIRTH CERTIFICATES, mine, my dad's, my mom's
Their marriage contract
My co sponsors W-2, ITR, AND AOS
MY dad's W-2,ITR and AOS
NBI

A LOT OF PROOF OF RELATIONSHIP
PICTURES AND CHAT LOGS( they didn't even look at it but bring this along too)

August 16 D-DAY

We left Quezon at 3 am and arrived at US embassy  5:30 am, I chose to eat my breakfast first because I thought it will be long process, I went to the US embassy 6:30 am and they let me in even if my appointment was 7:40am ( I HIGHLY ENCOURAGE NOT TO BRING MOBILE PHONES ESP IF YOU DONT HAVE SOMEONE TO WAIT FOR YOU OUTSIDE)
It was really fast, waiting time was only 5-10 minutes per window

This is how it went
Pre screening
This is the part where they collected my documents but the Filipino consul only asked for my BC, Nbi, appointment letter he asked a lot
"Who is my petitioner"
"How old are you"
"Where does your petitioner lives?"
"What is his work?'
"What is my relationship with my sponsors ( my bro in law and my sis)
"What are their jobs"
I don't remember the rest but he asked for pictures and I gave it to him but he didn't look at them baka sinabi niya na"Ipakita mo na lang through the window" but maybe because of nervousness hindi ko siguro narinig then sinabi niya na okay na

Finger scanning
The American was "mataray" and was really annoyed at people who can't get the instructions right for the finger scanning so  I was really nervous not to get it right

Interview  with the American Consul
There were two consuls and they were currently busy with the other applicants and I was next in line

The other one was nice and bubbly and the other one was a bit snob and had a bit of attitude so it was like choosing good and evil. I thank God because the first one to be available was the nice one

She asked almost the same things as the Filipino consul they didn't ask much to minor applicants so if you're a minor too you don't have to worry much.

In the end she told me
" Your papers seems fine. I may be able to approve your visa later this day, it will take 3-4 weeks processing time get a paper where you'll be registering your delivery address"

I didn't get to ask if I was approved and I simply thanked her

So....

I checked my CEAC status everyday and it still says READY I'm really worried

On August 18 my case was updated but still Ready

I contacted the embassy and they said I need to wait because my case is still at the consular section for review

Others are getting theirs and I'm here worried about my Visa

I prayed so hard on August 31 at our church INC 💗

Sept 1 I saw my case was updated
And it says ISSUED!!

Sept 7 2go and USTRAVELDOCS texted me and even emailed me that my Visa Is ready for pickup in my selected 2go outlet

I was so happy!!

I will pick up my Visa and passport tomorrow Sept 9

At long last!!!!

Good luck guys on your visa journey!!
