I feel like if you have gone through this then you probably arnt on this site anymore but has anyone divorced their spouse themselves? Anytime I try to research anything it always tells me to speak to a lawyer. My spouse and I have no assets. He went back to his home. We were only married for 6 weeks and it didn't work out. I just need a divorce as quickly as possible and I'd like to start some kind of paperwork and have him send it to me.

A do it yourself divorce depends on what state you are in. I live in Michigan and there is a website you can go on and fill out all the paperwork and just print all the court papers you need. You should call the clerk at the court house and ask if you must have an attorney. If they say no ask if there is a website to get all the court papers.
