Yeah way to feed in to the hysteria that the Left is putting out only to invoke fear and hated for President Trump. He does not want to deport a majority of PR and I don't know where you ever heard that. My wife feels perfectly fine being a PR and because she knows she is in status. She also knows that as of right now she can't be deported unless convicted of a crime which is a condition of being a PR.

Of course he is using DACA as a chess piece to pass the Raise Act.

What "hysteria from the left"?
Trump was supposed to to deport the dreamers back when he first took office, like most of his insane policies catering to a certain demographic.
If it wasn't for bipartisan support against dreamer deportation, they would have been gone by now.

You still haven't done your homework
DACA is an executive action.

Correct an executive action that was unconstitutional. It would not have made it past the the Supreme Court which gave dreamers a false sense of security.

It needed to be done lawfully and by Congress. Trump just made that happen.

Actually they can't if they are here illegally they can't adjust status. There's no benefits to illegals who have come in the country illegally. I saw this on another forum where someone was trying to AOS because they married someone who was on daca and could not.

This was clarified earlier in the thread. If they entered the country legally, i.e. went through inspection upon entering they can adjust through marriage.

The republican controlled congress will not pass legislation to fix DACA in 6 months or give them any legal path to permanent residency. And correct me if I'm wrong, Obama made an executive decision on DACA because the republican controlled congress would not pass his immigration reform bill. Trump is playing games and giving Dreamers false hope and they know it.

Trump isn't making anything happen. He's playing the blame game. He'll blame congress for not passing the legislation in 6 months. His core supporters will be pleased that DACA people are unprotected and deportable. He'll retain the same amount of Hispanic voter base for the next election because, from the way they see it, congress (not Trump) screwed DACA.

Whether it is unconstitutional is yet to be ruled. (reminds me of ACA)

I can agree with you about DACA giving a false sense of security though, becasue it isn't really legally binding.

If he really wanted to help with the situation he would have championed an appropriate bill giving these full blooded americans (criminal records or not) their absolute path to citizenship.
Instead of showing a bit of leadership he just gave it to congress to decide.
Only insuring these future citizens that he will take action if congress doesn't come to a conclusion, AFTER the bipartisan backlash.

Saying that he did the best thing for dreamers is simply not true.

I disagree...
A lot of republican law makers have already promised to pass legislation protecting Dreamers.
But its true that Trump is trying to play the blame game.

Maybe that's how it works in Nigeria, but we do not have dictatorships in America. A president does not get to unilaterally pass a law because he can not pass it through the proper procedures. Remember that thought when someone that you do not agree with starts going crazy with their pen and passing anything that they can't get through congress. Did Trump use an executive order when ACA wasn't repealed? Will you be happy if he passes his tax reform by executive order if the congress doesn't play along? There is a reason for the constitution.

ACA was passed by congress therefore it could not be repealed by executive order otherwise Trump would have used an executive order to repeal it in order to please you and his supporters. Also note, Trump went on an executive order signing spree in his first couple of months in office.

FYI: Nigeria has not had a dictatorship since 1999. A quick google search + wikipedia would get you up to speed.

This is what i had gathered before as well - Republican controlled Congress gave Obama a hard time to pass anything. (the 9th Justice of SCOTUS should have been an Obama's pick) - remember the Mitch McConnell comments about making Obama a 1-term President?

So after all the recent events about the end of the DACA program, and how the program slowed down the process for Removal of Conditions of many people, what are the implications now that the program will be ended?

I've read in so many places that DACA was the cause all the ROCs were delayed up to a year when they usually took 6 months or less to complete, is there a reason to believe that now things will speed up if DACA ends?

I am currently waiting for my ROC to be approved, but the wait is killing me and I want to know how DACA is affecting us.

What is your opinion on this matter?

Not related to DACA, but given that now in-person interviews will be required for all adjustment of status cases (mostly refers to those employment based), there is not way any wait times will decrease, regardless of what happens to DACA.
