I'm starting to get a little worried. I have seen other ppl get their I-130 approved lately w/later NOA dates then myself. I know USCIS don't process in order but it still bothers me. I didn't submit any proof of marriage besides a couple of pics and the marriage certificate. We never lived together and didn't know what to send so we sent nothing. Since then I have obtained a couple of letters from family and friends. I figure we should at least have it ready for the interview in case it's question. Do you think this could be the delay in our case? Should I send in what I have? If so do I send it directly to CSC and put my receipt # on it? I appreciate any help as possible.

Thanks

I only submitted our marriage certificate and our son's birth certificate. I'm not even sure if the latter is required at this stage. Photos and other evidence typically don't come in until the interview.

Speaking of evidence, we don't have many "couple photos" to show either even though we are married for over 5 years. If the consulate so much hints at questioning the authenticity of our marriage, I plan to bring our 3-year-old son in and ask him "who is daddy and who is mommy." :D

nyseness,

Point of clarification: a little more granularity is helpful - they begin processing in order, they don't complete processing in order - to do so would require withhilding approval of some petitions for the trivial reason that some other petition required longer to process.

I guess I am doubting myself. Can you blame me? I've been waiting for over two yrs to be w/my man and I'm just worried it's never going to happen... :crying:

nyseness,

There are any number of reasons why one petition might take longer to process than others. A 'hit' doing the security checks is one of them, and yes the time spent clearing a 'hit' does not count against the target processing time.

nyseness,

You should be fine just hang in there. Some cases do take longer. I submited a few wedding photos, not the orginal wedding certificate and a few relationship pictures. Don't worry yourself over this my NOA2 was approved quickly. People who waited longer than me for their NOA2 at the end took about the same time frame as me. My interview took a long time to get at Kingston. It looked like people were waiting 2 months to get one and I waited 4 months. So there are security checks at USA end and JA end of it.

I will send my well wishes out to you that you recieve the NOA2 very soon.

All the best.

I agree with everyone else nyseness. You should be fine since you at least submitted your marriage certificate and that's a very important proof of a bonafide marriage. ^_^

Don't worry, just relax and you'll see that you should be getting your NOA2 soon. Think positive.

nyseness, relax, look at my signature, i waited 159 days for the NOA2 approval. proof of relationship doesn't come until later. delays are due to backlogs, service centers and security checks so just be patient. if you look at the thread below you'll see that there are people who have been waiting since 9/11/06 and earlier without approval so just take a breather.

How come visajourney.com states in the step by step guide to file the I-130 that Evidence of a Bonifide Marriage has to be included when filing the I-130? "The USCIS now requires that when filing an I-130 for a spouse that you include evidence of a bonifide marriage. Evidence can include documents and sworn affidavits."

There seems to conficting information in this thread and help guides posted by visajourney.com. What is a person supposed to believe?

Same for K-3 visas. The guide says you need a copy of the NOA1 from the I-130 to submit with I-129F for a K-3 visa. Then there are some threads where some people have said that you only need proof of USCIS having received it and include the receipt #, not an actual copy of the I-797.
