I paper filed and my process seems to have moved fairly quickly between receiving my NOA on the 6th of September and being in line for an interview as of October 12th. I think the more they have to look into your case the longer it may potentially take to process.

Do you think being inline for interview means that they already finished the background check?

No, I don't but at least it shows me that they are actively working on my case and like everyone else and the other chats like the August group that there is a light towards the end of the tunnel. Honestly with this ur not done til you are done

Hi, everyone! I have a question. Does anybody received any e-notification email similiar with mine. I got this email after right after they accepted my N-400 application. I never heard of Harrisonburg Storage Center before. All I know is NBC. I’m just little worried. Thank you!

Did you file your application online? Some people posted their good experiences with the Harrisonburg Center here: http://dreamact.info/forum/showthread.php?p=619579 I am not sure if the same will apply to your case.

@Dinosaur2013, No I did not applied online. I sent my application through USPS priority mail. Right, I saw that too but never had n-400 applicant on that website. Anyway, I got my I-797C today and I followed the instructions in it to set up an account online. I found this on my my recent status :

 Not yet! I'm currently a MS student and my memory seems to retain information better a week or even days prior to an exam. So I'll probably study one week before my interview. I've downloaded the official USCIS Civics Test app and found it to be helpful.

Yes and no lol. I started doing the online reviews when I first applied and did good. I tried to study yesterday but instead organized and gathered all papers needed for my interview. I’ll review throughout this week and hopefully all my elementary and high school US history classes kick in.

Fprints:  Date assigned for fingerprinting (Bio-metrics). If you do your biometrics via walk-in prior to your scheduled appointment, please enter the date in bold blue.
In Line: Date you received e-notification about the start of your interview scheduling.
Int Ltr: Date you received the official letter in the mail regarding interview.
Interview: Date of your interview.
Oath: Date Oath taken.

same here, i can only retain new info only if I m using it constantly.... I m not in line for interview yet, i try to use the uscis app to study but then i get lazy and decided to wait till i actually l know my interview date hahah

The biggest question I have in mind right now is how online filers know if they are in-line so they can count the 90 days cut-off. Any ideas?

Again, you will see your case status updated online. Photo below is an example of what you should see on the old ELIS site. You should also see that same message on the site where PDF documents are uploaded. Another way to find out is via the EGOV or myUSCIS website. If your status has not changed on any of those sites, that means you have not cleared background check yet.

But honestly, I would not rely on the old ELIS site because the date when they've updated your status as "in line" is not listed. I would say the most reliable site to check for online filers is the site where PDF documents are uploaded.

 

Maybe @Jesse28 can elaborate more on this since she's the only one who has an interview scheduled already.

So that was the screen my wife had after her FPs but then USCIS updated their website and I can't see that again. The new site says We Have Your Biometrics. That's why I am confused how online filers would know if they are in-line.
