If it is a good investment, why would you care? It is their (the boards) job to protect their investment. You will see more corporations come through with similar plans and large investors will ask to see the Climate Change Plan. Smart Money knows that this is not a theory.

But it's not a good investment. It's not even an investment. It's throwing money away for no good reason.

Says you. The business has been around since 1898 and appears healthy.  They must be doing something right.

That doesn't mean every decision they made was a good one. Just that the good decisions were more profitable than what the bad decisions cost them. In this case they are going to have to make a good decision worth a billion dollars to balance this horrible decision.

Oh well, I guess they will need to take it out of their 30 Billion annual revenue.
