No we don't have property, but I have traveled many times over our relationship of 8 years, I have never broken any rules or had any issues with entering, I've also been honest in telling them I was visiting my fiance. But Now we are married I will tell them im visiting my husband. So hopefully that will go smoothly.

We do not own any properties, hes currently finishing his degree at college, but we have been together for 8 years and I have traveled back and forth many times throughout those years, I haven't broken any rules or ever lied to them and have never been denied entry. Just assuming it might be different when I say I'm visiting my husband now instead of saying my fiance. Should be okay :D appreciate it guys.

I visited many times on VWP while waiting for I-130/IR-1 processing and never had a problem. But I always made a point of keeping my mouth shut as much as possible when talking to immigration - never tell them more than they ask for. When they even bothered to ask, my purpose for coming to the US was simply visiting family - there's no need to complicate things by explicitly mentioning your husband unless prompted to do so (and I never was - "visiting family" was always enough).

Took me and my wife for the cr1 ten months for our interview and it was worth it because you don't have to worry about getting a greencard and my wife will be able to work right away and she'll be able to travel and be allowed back in the usa plus it's much cheaper then a k3 or k1 your saving yourself alot of time with the paperwork.

Yep.  All things considered, I feel the CR-1 is superior to the K-1.  Almost every week, I see another poster say that hey wish they had done a CR-1 rather than a K-1.....Expense, work delay, travel delay (AP)....

EDIT:  add AOS issues to the list of reasons to go with a CR-1 rather than a K-1.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Yeah haha i definitely wouldn't want any more paperwork i had to do so much for the Cr1 and i'm thankful that i don't have to worry about any of the paperwork with a k1 visa That would just seem too much

Being now married and not together is so much different, it just makes no sense that its this difficult when we are married, gotta do what we gotta do.......hopefully my consulate is fast considering its Australia and numbers are smaller for immigrating to US

Ah, but it does make sense.  Just because people get married they shouldn't be allowed into the US.  They have to pass the tests just like everyone else.  Otherwise terrorists would simply marry into America.  Not a good thing.  None the less good luck and I wish you a life of happiness.  Be patient and focus on the future not the time you are waiting.  Trust me, it will be worth it all once the two of you are together.  God Bless you both,  Aloha david

I'm on holiday is also an honest answer when asked the purpose of your visit.
