4. Little post DACA kids stay and get GC after vetting and meeting criteria. - Little post DACA kids return with or to their family.  Allowing them to stay not only encourages illegal immigration it encourages human trafficking of children. Not with increased and better border security and employer fines.
5. Commit a crime / felony and your butt is gone. Deported. One chance. - Agreed!

 

I am against open borders but for humanity, there is a middle way that is logical besides a black and white solution.
Sick and tired of 'I had to go through this and that and stand in line talk' who cares, cry me a river.
If anyone here could complain about how long we had to and are still standing in line, it would be me and I am not complaining.
Just because I have to stand in long lines doesn't mean anyone else should. - Most people complaining about lines aren't complaining about the length they stood in them, even though it is usually way too long, they are instead complaining that DACA recipients and the people who brought them here didn't stand in any line at all when they initially came here.  No visa lines (options) exists for those.You shouldn't be so dismissive about that, because it is a valid point.  Dismissing it leads to people building emotional walls and degenerates the conversation. Emotional walls ? I thought we shouldn't get so emotional ? I simply do not care to have others go through the same super ####### we went through to get some kind of vindication or feel better about myself.
Neither should anyone get a total free ride and must be thoroughly vetted in matters of security and fraud, that's a no brainer.
 Laws must be followed but life and humanity and times are fluid and laws can be adjusted when a better way can be found, why is that so scary ? - It isn't scary.  Very few people will argue against an immigration overhaul - it is the details of that overhaul that people will argue about.
Rigid adherence to certain outdated laws is not always going to be the right thing to do. That's when congress comes together and makes a better law. - Our immigration laws aren't outdated, they simply haven't been enforced.  Law seem outdated when they aren't properly enforced.  Immigration reform should happen though.  We should all get behind the RAISE Act. No, we shouldn't and I explained why. It would limit immigration drastically (it was intended to do so by anti immigrant senators)) it causes Brain Drain on poor countries, it increases overstays. Barely anyone would be able to meet the requirements. The poor that come with the shirts on their backs put themselves through school and work their fingers to the bone. They excel and open businesses to give Americans
job opportunities. If you want statistics I have them.
So what's the problem with all the DACA whinery. It shouldn't drive anyone to drink and it really isn't that complicated.
Let's move on to decent health care in this country and tax reform and infrastructure and stop nit picking on the small stuff. - Immigration isn't small stuff to the hundreds of thousands of people who either don't have jobs, have had their wages suppressed by illegal immigration, or have unfortunately lost a loved one because someone here illegally murdered them. I don't buy into the "it's the immigrant's fault our wages are low" mentality. It is good ole American corporate greed
so CEO's can fly around in their private jets and profits shoot up like fireworks while the little pee- ons get nothing.
Someone always has to be the pawn and scape goat since the beginning of time. Immigrants create jobs, some immigrants as well as Jeffrey Dahmers and other American serial killers will kill people. But spare me the sad song of immigrants are to blame for our ills today !

If done right it will not set an incentive for future repeats of parents bringing kids here because the increased and better border protection

will prevent that. Fine employers, enforce that law already in place. No jobs = less undocumented. What would draw them here if they can't
get hired to make a living. Fine the employers with more than a slap on the hand. - This is what we hear every time we get into an amnesty conversation.  When does it really end?  I do agree with fining employers of illegal immigrants, but that should be extended to private citizens, not just companies, who hire day workers to cut their grass or do other manual labor for them.  I'm thinking a fine of 10% of their gross annual income would deter them.  Fining a neighbor for hiring
an undocumented grass mower is silly. Fine corporations. Fine the car makers who hire Eastern European workers and falsify their papers.
Those are the jobs Americans want, but the auto makers want sky high profit, pay 1/3 to 1/2 of the salary and turn their backs on Americans and then whine when we don't want their cars made by fraudsters.
The $20 from lawn mowing is a drop in the ocean. Their are bigger fish in stealth mode.

Not sure why the first we must shut it down before we can move on thing.....we can do it simultaneously.
For years politicians on the right said first we must secure the border then we can move to the next step.
It's not like first we must turn the water off before we fix the plumbing.
No, we can do this at the same time no sense in kicking down the can on the road with either.
Secure the border AND fix this mess. It's not a leaking pipe. Multi task like a woman or it goes on and on in circles.

 Maybe they should be required to turn in their parents to gain the benefit.  As many here have said, it was the parent(s) or adult that brought them here that committed the crime, so why not use DACA as a way to take care of those folks?
