Correct me if I am wrong, but didn't Trump make this move recently because he was given a deadline by some senators that threatened to sue him or something if he didn't take action?

I thought there were several states already suing regarding DACA.  I think the DOJ requested those suits be dropped based on the recent action, but I think the states suing will want to keep the suits active since Trump came out and said he would revisit the decision if Congress does not act.  Of course now there are states suing to keep it based on Trump supposedly being a racist.

We need to accept the brightest and best people for the High Skill worker visa or else all the poor people of the world will want to come and live here. I think the whole sponsor process can be expedited as whole, but it still should only be family members.

The problem with this.... is that if we ONLY take the brightest and best--our brightest and best are SOL... our education standards are subpar to large parts of the world. That's the selfish standpoint against that. Also, if we take the best of the best from developing countries... they will never develop.

yes.

attacking illegal immigration is not immigration reform - which is what you were asking about.

oh no! not icky poor people!

Yes, the sticky icky poor people that will automatically go on benefits and thus tax an already overtaxed system, GOOD JOB......

Just like here in California they DO give Illegals alot of benefits like Medi-Cal, but then Illegals complain because no good doctors will accept Medi-Cal at all.

No, he is ALL of our President. Even during the Obama years I did not like him, but he was still OUR President.

I am not racist at all even though I have been called that twice this past week. I have mixed race kids that get confused to be Mexican all the time because of their skin color by other Mexicans. [b[So how can I be racist against my children?[/b]

Because it has become the norm that if someone, or several someone(s), doesn't agree with your point of view and yells "racist" in your direction loud and long enough, your views are then to be disregarded.  Or so I have been told.

I'm glad you bring up FDR... That's exactly where my head was at when I stated the foundation for this overuse was laid. And your chart helps support that.

the facts behind what poor immigrants do to turn their poverty into wealth and actually pay into the system is well documented. xenophobic attitudes are based in bunk.

Hit submit before I was done... *sigh*

Those presidents in the middle of the chart there... they had a lot of war time stuff they had to quickly make decisions on. Which is what the EO is supposed to be for.  Unfortunately, it has been consistently used to just say FU Congress you're not doing what I want you to do.

Looks like the overuse actually started with Teddy R.  Quite a big jump after he took over for McKinley.

fyi, it doesn't prove the point you're trying to make. obama deported tons of people. my statement stands.

Yes, yes it does.  In a field of dreams of your own delusions.  (Similar to the one where you proclaim Trump is not your president)

However, Snopes tends to disagree with you...

Not really if you examine it closer. I will give you the H1B visa process because I am in the IT field. It was originally opened up to allow Talented people in to the country under the STEM field in which there are not enough "qualified applicants". But as of right now the H1B visa process has been taken over and used for heinous reasons at the expense of the American Workers. There are companies like SoCal Edison and Disney that will contract a 3rd party to bring in foreign workers to be trained in their IT systems by company's IT employees, and then the US employees are fired. All so that those companies can make a profit and save on labor costs. All the while those 3rd World "Highly Qualified" workers are not in fact highly qualified at all, and cause more problems than their worth. They also create an atmosphere of nepotism for people of that country brought in to work at that company.
