yeah, nobody is getting deported, ever.

Certainly under Obama that was not the case. Here in California the state government is ACTIVELY pleading down cases involving Illegals so that they DO NOT GET DEPORTED or put on ICE's radar.

I agree with you on this as I have stated previously in this thread. If you have filed for and got approved for DACA then I have no problem with you being here at all. But to the people that have not been approved for it or have not filed for it then Buh BYE!

It is only temporary deferment.  So, it doesn't need to be rescinded.  It will expire.

I have said previously on here as well he(Trump) did not want to rescind it at all. But he is playing a Chess game and using DACA as piece in order to get the Raise Act approved. Which more than likely will give DACA PR status and not the temporary like they have now.

OHHHHH MY GOD. I submitted evidence totally refuting those facts weeks ago on here. But I will find them again.

Don't try to convince them that President Trump is doing something they might support, if they opened their mind a little bit.  They are simply going to ridicule and insult you....and probably post more super special GIF's.

We need comprehensive reform and cooperation between the two neighboring countries this issue is largely about. Immigrants come from all over the world, legal or otherwise. But we all know this debate is *mostly* about Mexican immigrants. It helps our economy "bigly" when Mexico's economy is prosperous as well.  There is also a decline in illegal immigration from Mexico, when the two countries cooperate: worker programs, immigration policies that don't aim to restrict on a racial basis, etc. If you want the illegal immigrants to stay in their countries, support policies that allow them to come and go. Supporting policies to try to shut them out, has the complete opposite effect. Sure, you can deport 2mil... a drop in the bucket when 11mil are here.

The Department of Homeland Security reported that it removed and returned over 450,000 people in 2016. Of this number, 85 percent were people caught crossing the border without authorization

Since the government counts illegal immigrants caught near the border and immediately returned to Mexico as having been deported, declining border arrests translates to fewer overall deportations. Border arrests have begun to rise again after falling to recent lows under Trump, but they are still far below the number of apprehensions during the Obama years.

Under the Obama Administration they were using the figures of people  caught at the border and sent back as deportations to help pad the numbers. When in reality they were not deportations at all.

There is currently a decline in illegal immigration due to the policies of the current administration, it has nothing to do with Mexico.

Did you really just post something supporting illegal immigration through open borders?

Deport 11 million then, why stop at 2 million.

There is a decline in Illegal Immigration from Mexico because they see that there is an actual MAN in the White House and not a community organizer. So they can't just come here and be given free rein anymore. Also last I heard the Mexican economy ain't doing so hot anymore either, so it's about time for that wall to be built.

I am not racist at all even though I have been called that twice this past week. I have mixed race kids that get confused to be Mexican all the time because of their skin color by other Mexicans. So how can I be racist against my children?

It wouldn't make much sense to abolish our immigration policies, which make room for exceptions, simply because a few politicians don't know how to deal with these exceptions. For as long as our country should presume to represent a place of hope and freedom, we will have to reconcile the notion that we will need to make changes to the existing laws, and accommodations for when the laws don't apply, as is the case of the dreamers.

Many of the criticism to DACA is expressed with xenophobic undertones, and that may be the reason you correctly call the individuals who so choose to express their bigotry "nasty anti-immigration racists."

How do you get around the Constitution and the need for Congress to change the law and not the president or the courts?  What would have happened if DACA went to SCOTUS and they found it unconstitutional?  I know the supporters of DACA claim this was just prosecutorial discretion, but applying discretion to an entire class of immigrants seems to be a bit of a stretch.  Generally, prosecutorial discretion is applied on a case by case basis.  Regardless, this doesn't address the children that have come here since 2007 which DACA did not cover to the best of my knowledge.

I did skim through it and alittle after that paragraph I put on here it started getting to thick in the weeds for me to read and not scream.
