Hello,

My wife is from tarapoto peru.

we are living in arkansas at the moment and filed our papers thought the texas service center.

she has a 2 year visa on a k3 status we are 1 year into it now.

My Problem is that i am ready to file her Adjustment of status and her work permit documents.

my problem is that i have everything i need except the adjustment of status documents say that it needs the a copy of the i-129 and/or i-130 approvral notice letters.

I do not have any copies of these letters i believe we used them at the embassy when we had the appointment for her visa and went though all the copies neverless we have no copies of eighter document.

isnt the visa copy itself proof the other stuff was filed cant they look up on a computer or something and and use the visa number to see we are approved in this. my guess is no its not that easy.

i called the national service center and asked them how i get copies of the original approval notices and they said they could not help me i had to go though texas service center so i asked them the phone number and they told me they dont have a number to call you have to write to them (thats insane all this important stuff and there is no one you can talk to on the phone thats outragous)

so i wrote them a handwritten letter about 2 months ago and explianed what i needed and gave them all the info i could think of and i have not had any kind of response from them as what to do next.

then i read on the net that i had to file another document and pay a 200.00 fee just to get the copy.

that sounds like highway robbery just to get a copy of something you have already paid for is this true?

does anyone know what i need to do in order to get the copy of the i-129 and i-130 approvral notices and do i need both copies or just one of them for the adjustment of status?

and if i need both do i have to pay 200 fee for both?

also on my income for the work portion of all this i have irs documents for 2002, 2003 2004 that show that i made well over the 16,500 min requiment i need but on 2005 which will be one of the years they look at i made about 3000.00 less then i need because i took so much time off work that year handling getting my wife here and getting her settled and trips to peru to talk to the embassy and stuff.

they will review 2003, 2004 and 2005 2003 and 2004 are ok on income but 2005 is below i have a letter from my company stating and detailing i will make above that in 2006

will i have any problems in this regard?
