Hello dear Septembers and everyone!

Since things are getting closer, I decided to check our mailed documents to make sure evrything was alright. I better haven't. So I just noticed that in I-129f form in part Other Information, Item 24 where it asks about city/town/village of petitioner's birth, my fiancée put "<city name>, Washington", and then left Item 25 "Province or state of birth" blank. Also as a country of birth of my parents we put USSR, but I just read that it was supposed to be the country that exists now, so Russia. Why haven't we checked this before? I don't know, sillies.

So my question is - what will happen with those thingies? RFE? Denial? Death penalty? 😰

Hmm it does sound like an rfe.

i think you can avoid death penalty and denial is like worse than death penalty!!

dont worry it would only be a simple rfe to correct it :)

Hello all September filers

I knew this forum existed awhile back but never got the time to read through all the posts due to work and all the travel plans.

and I'm finally here to join the HYPE :D

My NOA1 was September 7th and it seems like things are going to be finally moving soon.

(sorry if I'm a little noob) But i would be super grateful if someone could tell me what I could prepare ahead of time before the NOA2 arrives. Reading all the posts made me somewhat nervous because I don't have much prepared atm...

thanks again for all your help :D

You should ask to the clinic that will do the medical exam. (Mine said i can just tell them, if they push I also have the scar from scratching to prove 😁)

So I emailed the clinic (Knightsbridge Doctors I believe?) just as you suggested!
Their quick response was as follows:

"Thanks for your email when you come for your Medical you will have a form to say you have had Chicken Pox just tick the box and that will be sufficient."

I am so relieved!!

I spoke to another USC with a Ghanaian fiancé (who’s been approved and made it to US last month) and she said the vaccines will depend on the region. My fiancé doesn’t have much in the way of records either, and he’s going to wait until the official medical appointment to get anything rather than risk not having the right documentation for anything he gets elsewhere.  We were also advised that he may not be able to get all the vaccines at once, so start that process as soon as you can.  Hopefully he’s not too far from the approved medical place. My fiancé is a 4 hour drive away 😒. Hope that helps!

his approved medical facility is in another country lol so yeah we are in the same boat , however i think i will have him schedule an appointment to have some of these done I'm just not sure where to start looking for the exact vaccines he will need. I'm limited because there are literally NO! people here from my country or going to Senegal embassy so on VJ im kind of on my own in a way

Love knows no reason,no boundaries,no distance .It has a sole intention of bringing people together to a time called FOREVER!!!!!!!!

Update of the graphs comparing June and July regarding the length of time from Received to Approved one month later (as to 02/22/2018), this time including August under the same conditions.

As a reminder, in the graphs below I try to compare what happened within the next 177 days after that last day of June, July and August 29th (last day with approvals) received cases.

In that time, with a total of 715, 357 and 582 approved cases (after removing some outliers) respectively:

  • June had a global mean of 182.49 days from Received to Approval date, with a standard deviation of 7.89 days.
  • July had a global mean of 195.03 days from Received to Approval date, with a standard deviation of 3.89 days.
  • August had a global mean of 189.33 days from Received to Approval date, with a standard deviation of 6.47 days.

As you guys can see, July (starting approvals at 185+ days) was significantly worse than June (160+ days), but in August (175+ days), we can clearly see the turning point for average processing times finally starting to go down again. This is looking much better than in previous months!

Please, note that ONLY updated approved cases were considered, and that the purpose of this graphs is just merely informative, not predictive.

I would try get as many done before your medical as possible. I believe that there a few on the list that can;t be done within 2 weeks of each other. If the beneficiary has time njow, just get some done.

That's for sure! I already have almost all of those, and if you can get it for free, much better 😉

I am not sure how this post is going to come off, but - sorry if it comes off too blunt/mean and kudos to those who understand.

No one here is an expert on the USCIS. We give each other advice and answers that we know based on the country we're applying for.

We are ALL literally doing our best to understand how the process works, which documents are needed, etc

Not one of you is any better than the next....

I say this because I receive messages asking why I'm doing, why I'm doing that... ever since I posted that I'm printing 200 pictures.

That is MY choice. We are printing them ANYWAY. We had a GIANT traditional morrocan engagement party. Those only we selected 80 to print.

You can really take whatever you want to the interview. No one here has walked in and asked a CO personally what they're looking at. Some say take screen shots, others say

just print the conversation. (I choose screen shots, because the other version looks like you can just edit it on Word.)

I truly wish everyone the best of luck, but do whats in your heart. No one here should tell you what they are going to look at during the interview. If you want 5 pictures, a few convos - do it.

If you want an entire photo album and the entire conversation since you met. Do it.

Just irritating to see people assume they know how the interview will go. It can be 5 min or an hour. You just never know... and I for one, rather be overly prepared. Good luck to everyone

Yes you are right, you can bring 1000 pictures to the interview if you want that's your call. But this is a public forum and people are free to tell you what they think if you choose to post it here.. no need to feel some types of ways about it.

check out these websites:

https://www.uscis.gov/policymanual/HTML/PolicyManual-Volume8-PartB-Chapter9.html

https://www.cdc.gov/immigrantrefugeehealth/exams/ti/civil/vaccination-civil-technical-instructions.html

It looks like the req's are age specific so ages 19-49 are req'd to have Tdap, MMR, Varicella, and flu during flu season (flu season ends March 31st) i'm not sure about regional req's... I didn't see anything about that anywhere... but anyways I thought this might be helpful for you!

And I'm not sure how much the req's vary from country to country because the req's are for the US... For example, if I was traveling to Thailand and needed the vaccine for yellow fever (just making this example up) that is a req to travel to Thailand. If I were coming to the US FROM Thailand I would imagine that yellow fever would be something they rule out during your medical exam and not necessarily require you to have a vaccine for it seeing as you will be in the US and that is not a concern here... Does that make sense at all?

Well, once you post you are asking for people opinion. Some of us can agree that 200 pics in the interview could be quite a lot, but once again, is your interview and is your process. So if you don't wanna hear a different opinion, we can only wish you good luck! and if they don't wanna see 200 pics they will only give it back to you to choose a few 😉
