Thanks for the encouragement :) You're right, and I'm positioned quite well financially too (I've been saving like crazy the past year) so I could make it for months if the NoA2 never showed up. It's just that I would be so bummed to not be working and saving while I still CAN, you know. Also, in all honesty, I haven't quite figured out what reason to tell them yet. I'm not in a place where I feel completely comfortable letting everyone know about a process that hasn't even finished its first part yet. But that's just a pride thing and I will have to get over it.

I think it's so cool that you went with your plan, sold/quit everything and just left! That makes it feel so much more tangible to me. All of a sudden it's mid-February and we'll start seeing September approvals next month... It's unbelievable. I hope we will all be AoS buddies as well. Maybe in the June 2018 AoS Filers forum? Who knows.

honestly, i think it was more a risk regarding the financial part, but we think it was the right decision. i have a chance to stay with my mom until the entire process is through so i dont have to worry too much. but of course not everyone has that chance and is taking a bigger risk.

i think we will be buddies in the next step hihi :D hope we all make it through at the same time!

stay positive and good luck with the talk at work!

ohhh btw - I told them that we are in the visa process as I will be moving abroad and that's why I also took the risk to leave earlier as I have to give up so many things. and they all were very supportive and saw it in a positive way that i leave for that, and obviously not cos i hate them hahaha so until the last day i was there, they were super nice and supported me fully with everything! be brave :D u got this!!!

I totally feel you here. It has been so difficult telling people about my plans and then telling them that no I don't have a specific date yet and no I don't know what kind of job I will have there cause I can't work the first couple of months and yes I realize I have only seen him for three months total by the time we marry and no that does not scare me. I feel like I have to explain and defend every action. I feel judged. Like I'm doing this really rash and stupid thing and everybody expect this to fall apart sooner or later.

I can't wait to just pack up and leave. You don't want to know how often that crosses my mind to be honest. The only thing stopping me is knowing that it will put my chances of being with my love in very real danger.

I remember when I planned my trip to Spain and everyone thought i'd be back in a week, not knowing I was flying from Spain to Morocco. My family knew about my fiance, but didn't understand. My mom would say how are you with someone that you haven't met yet? so I dealt with the side remarks but knew in my heart eventually they'd understand. When my mom saw I was safe in Morocco and decided to stay for 6 months - she felt comfortable. I just keep plans to myself just to avoid the big Jinx. When too many people know your business, it always fails. Be quiet. Be happy and just know all the worrying will soon end... or at least move on to another part of the visa process to worry but at least you'll be together at this point lol

Oh wow, this sounds so familiar. When we got engaged in December I only told my best friends and my parents. I didn't even put it on facebook or whatever. Now that I need to start arrange things at my job and selling the house and stuff, when people really start to know, I put it up on facebook. But I had just as rather kept it to myself.

My mom loves my fiancé already. She was very skeptical at first like yours. But he is a father himself and knows the troubles of a parent. When I first went over there he asked to talk to my mom through facetime before I left so she would have a face and a name and was able to talk to him. He made a group chat with her and me so we could keep each other updated on my flight. And now, 8 months later, she chats with him on an almost daily basis. He says he feels so much closer to me when he can talk to my mom about me and share their worries and my mom is very confident that he will take care of me in any way he can. She says he spoils me, which really is the best compliment a mother can give a man.

I know most weren't directed towards my case but people shouldn't be so judgemental. Maybe my sickness that I'm going through isn't serious enough to someone else who may be battling cancer or something. That's why I keep saying no two cases are the same. But if someone feels they qualify for an expedite then shoot for it. Who can really blame anyone for wanting this to be over with? It puts people in situations that'll make them try anything. Can't really be mad at them. I end up thinking I'm so thankful for having so many trips to see my fiancé when I read some people haven't seen their significant other in over a year. You know?

People very often don't care as much for others success. None of those people know what you are going through . Are there people in more need ? Of course, but life is not a competition of who suffers more . Each one knows where it hurts in their own life and should be respected . For example , my Fiancee and I reached out to a congressman . The reason ?  She has a 10 year old boy that lacks a good father figure in his life. Never attended to certain events in school meant to be for father and son. He found a father in me and I found a son in him. We built a strong  relationship. He prays everyday for my k1 visa so I can come back and help my woman take care of him because I do love him . Well, even my stepson himself wrote a handmade latter to the Congressman asking to expedite our process. So had his grandparents, my future parents in law. Well... Is it gonna work? I don't know. But We had to resort to everything within our possibilities. Each of us has a story and it must be respected. The possibility of applying to expedite the case is out there for everyone. So honestly and being straight forward : I REALLY HOPE YOU GUYS CAN MAKE IT ! I REALLY HOPE YOU GUYS BE APPROVED! :)

I've read that thread and I do understand everyone was straightforward (maybe some are rude) however the reason is because so many people are in your situation. And it wasn't realistic.

Now if you by chance get it thats awesome. However they were also trying to show you other options as by experience they know you won't probably get it.

everyone would pop a baby if that was a reason to expedite. And that's where they also come from. Because when others search on expedite and see your topic - if they don't see the comments- they would just think oh yes I can expedite too. (Still there's a chance and maybe luck o your side that it may work by the way).

however they are also trying to be carefully realistic that if every single person applies for expedite, it may not delay a personal case per se but it will end up delaying everyone overall.

I really do understand that. My reasons are for my child who wasn't planned and actually was somewhat of a miracle because of the precautions taken to prevent him. But he is here and he is loved. I think that it doesn't hurt to try but yes I see what you mean about the overall process. There are better ways for people to communicate than to to talk down to someone. Advice is great, but sometimes you have to think before you speak. Naes. You are always helpful to everyone here and everyone is extremely grateful for you, I'm sure. I appreciate your opinion and advice but I still went for the expedite in hopes I might get it and my son can be with his father and we can finally start a life without a financial burden on all our shoulders. My request in the end was denied but I'm glad I tried because if I hadn't. I would have sat here thinking about doing it for the next 2 to 3 months. I just can't wait for this whole process to be over. You are all good people but I am getting tired of the forums stalking 😂😂 good luck everyone. Our time is coming. This will be our year!!

People can be harsh but I don't think it is  talking down to people.

everyone who researchs online will reach to this site and will try accordingly. So people telling you what the most possible outcome is not really just for you personally. And I do think there were good advices there for you.

everybody is tired from this process, and having a kid does not justify that.

so I can tell my life story too. Everybody does. Just because someone tells you that was -even by accident- was your choice so it cannot trigger an expedite is not looking down on you it's trying to spare you from false hope.

again as someone just said people can't take other people's success (yes most can) has nothing to do with people giving advice who has already done this process and over with it. That's talk from experience not about jealousy and envy.

I love being there and his family makes everything so amazing while I am there.  I want to go when he has his interview as well.  I really miss him and although we talk everyday and throughout the day, that distance plays with me.  I do need a vacation from here and Morocco is just the place to be LOL.  Just want to watch and see what happenes cause I need to watch the $$$$ and how we spend it.

Just an FYI, I'm not sure how you guys speak but I know.. sometimes you can't call his cell phone direct without paying a lot. There's a company called Lycamobile. I've been using them for the past year. 39$ monthly. Unlimited calls to cell phones in Morocco if they have Maroc Telecom. It works when his internet goes out which is often because it's a bit remote from the city.

We use google hangouts and whatsapp to talk and cam.  I was using Dingtone for awhile but google and whatsapp are free. We do a lot of chatting on google hangouts.

Using Dingtone helped and I would add the credits as needed but after awhile I didnt need to call him on his phone.  If I need to talk to him by voice I just use the whatsapp.  I was thinking of going back to Dingtone but we talk enough already lol.  The one thing that I do have is communication but I dont need to know his every move.  I know that he buys wifi credits to help with chatting. Luckily hes in a city thats big but when he goes to his village its not as good.

As far as going to Morocco - Im seriously thinking I should just go.  The atmosphere in the office is becoming annoying to me.  Just wish I could find out when the darn NOA2 will come
