You have got to be kidding me.....
I was so confused as I was half asleep. Took me 5 minutes to realise it was an error.

Now that I know so many other people got it because of a SPELLING CHANGE it makes me laugh..... I hope everyone can see a funny side to this and keep being patient!

I got 2 by the way...

I have 4 cases registered in mine and 2 of those already approved but status didn't change... all those got each 1 alerts.... and for some reason mine got 2....

i hate that app!!!

@Filipe Kramer @HarmonyAndYoussef I'm in your team! Rewatching silly series, working and waiting for my fiancée to wake up xD actually I just found a job a month ago (I moved to my mom's in November and couldn't find any), until then I felt really terribly to have nothing to do. Now the time seems to go by faster!

What a perfect day to be alive, part 2! It's our anniversary today :) it's so lucky I bumped into her on Feb 14 looking for a native speaker to improve my English. What if it wasn't her, huh?

Happy Valentine's Dayyyyyyyy everyone! May love be with you forever! (L)

happy valentine's day september-friends :D

glad to see i'm not the only one to enjoy freedom! lol

as we have 3 months notices for everything in Switzerland, I also quit my job, left my apartment etc at the end of January.

I flew out Feb 6th and will stay with my Mister until March 14!

Maaaaybe i we are lucky we receive a lucky surprise in the mail - although I sorta doubt that right now hahaha

I am trying to settle in the new home, explore the area, work out (thank god he has a gym in the garage) and research places

for the wedding (well like cakes, etc). don't get me wrong - this sounds super cool and all that, but....

it is also super hard!!! i have always been a very independent woman and always worked. so now i feel like i don't really

have a responsibility like i did before, and it's hard to adjust mentally. at least for me it is.

But it's a good preparation for the time we are not allowed to work until the status adjusted etc, so it'll give me enough time to

focus on myself and get used to the new lifestyle.

anyways - i hope everyone has a happy v-day and hopefully it's our turn soon with the NOA2's :D

Wow, you have to provide 3 months notice!? That's kind of cool. People barely give two weeks notice here. I had given a job two weeks notice before and they told me it was fine, I could just do one week. Hahaaa. I guess they're so used to people coming and going. Good luck with everything! I am still working my new job that I started once I came back from my 6 months in Morocco. Always worked in medical labs. I enjoy it but new york is not affordable. People making 200,000$ yearly struggle. Imagine that? So we may move in with my father in Florida but I didn't want to change my jobs until after he gets here. I'm pushing my luck they won't bother me for just starting work in August.

yes 3 months is normal. luckily, it's ok financially to be without a job right now, as i don't really have financial responsibilities (health insurance and phone bill). and currently being in the US with my Mister, is cheaper to eat/drink than back home hahaha so for now we're good :)

i think the challenge is to find a new job once i am allowed to work here. i am super open minded and don't necessarily need to go back into office management but would prefer an office job or so... or maybe i'll assist a lawyer that is specified on immigration? :D bwahahaha or i just work at david's bridal as a sales assistant as i know their entire collection haha

Happy Valentine’s! I can so relate to this post. I don’t want to say I’m defined by what I do for a living, but it definitely is a big part of my identity. That it will be tough to go on without an office to go to every day is an understatement. But I will use the time just like you said, to focus on myself and rest a bit after an incredibly busy year. And maybe learn how to depend on someone else for a change.

I have a 3 month notice with my employer as well. I did not quit yet however. I was thinking this week to do it actually. But I also keep thinking what happens if we’re outliers. It’s a tough one to balance.

happy v-day to you too :D

honestly, it's a risk, and we always had a weird feeling. but after all, at some point i didn't want to wait any longer than what was needed.

and the stress level of quitting the job, handing over everything, at the same time leaving the apartment, selling EVERYTHING, shipping 4 boxes and deciding what few pieces of my life should stay, and selling my car, and and and.... was craaazy, but now i feel better. i can't imagine to do all of that stuff and at the same time deal with aftermath of NOA2 (medical, the rest of paperwork, etc) .... so when i go back home next month, it'll also give me time to spend with my fam and friends and basically do a slow goodbye :)

good luck for sure with giving your notice! i know it's not easy buuuuut - will work out <3

Ugh, sorry, but I have to vent. I've been reading this site for over six months now and I can't wait until this process is over so I can stop coming here. My God! There are a lot of helpful people on here but there are a few just absolutely toxic people who seem to pop up in nearly every thread and are just so nasty to people in their tone, assume the worst about people and their scenarios, and are just unhelpful in general. Ugh, it's unfortunate. Maybe I should just bookmark this thread and stay away from the rest of the forums. In fact...I think I just might do that!

I posted a thread about my expedite I requested and 90% of the people we're really rude. It's actually really sad. We're supposed to lift each other up but yet some people want to break people's spirit. It's funny to me to because a lot of then people who were giving me rude comments were people who only had to wait 50 to 90 days for their approval

I've read that thread and I do understand everyone was straightforward (maybe some are rude) however the reason is because so many people are in your situation. And it wasn't realistic.

Now if you by chance get it thats awesome. However they were also trying to show you other options as by experience they know you won't probably get it.

everyone would pop a baby if that was a reason to expedite. And that's where they also come from. Because when others search on expedite and see your topic - if they don't see the comments- they would just think oh yes I can expedite too. (Still there's a chance and maybe luck o your side that it may work by the way).

however they are also trying to be carefully realistic that if every single person applies for expedite, it may not delay a personal case per se but it will end up delaying everyone overall.

I know. I saw some of those and I had the same issue. I applied for an expedite request and was denied because they said while my situation was serious, it wasn't serious enough to expedite lol literally the reason. People were nasty and said I shouldn't apply because it jumps in front of everyone else waiting. Anyone can submit a request if they wanted too. No one knows what the next is going through. On the bright side... I don't think we'll hit 200+ days for an approval or so I'd hope.

People weren't nasty (me one of those people) people were realistic.

People were nasty. Period. Everyone thinks their application should be approved yesterday and I get we are all impatient no matter what. But when someone is scheduled for numerous surgeries back to back, one would like to think that's serious enough to have my fiancé here with me. It isn't like I'm going in for elective procedures. I applied and they took it into consideration enough to ask me for evidence which is more than they do for most. No one can judge another persons circumstances. The only boat we share is the fact that we all filed a K1

I personally do think thats serious and it should have been approved.

it is not judging of circumstances. It was the reality that uscis doesn't care. And that the result would be this. Not about you or your case.

another part is they ask for evidence for everyone who applies to expedite unless it is a flake reason, that's not them being super duper considerate of you that's how that works.

and if you ask me I find this post rude, as being realistic being nasty. Cutting of someone else sharing experience with you can be rude.

If one doesn't want to hear realistic expectancy of a situation why post it?

No one is being rude here. I'm speaking the truth. They're denying pretty much all expedite requests even people in the military. Why? No idea. We never have any real facts about anything. I get that people like you try to help and we are all thankful but at the end of the day, no one cares about the next persons application because the moment they're done- they'll be off this website. That's where the nastiness came from during original posts about expedite requests. Instantly people didn't care about why I or anyone else was doing it, just that"people wanted to cut the line." That's what I'm trying to say.

Yeah, I don't know who those people are but I do remember what I replied and what some veterans were also trying to say.

Also just because someone is military, they can't eat an expedite. They need to have a deployment order, most people just do it without a deployment order.

for me as people in the future will search for expedite and k1 and they will reach a topic, and I'd rather give a real situation then a non- realistic one.

however as I said then I'll say now, I don't care who gets approved by what means and I know people who are in need for sicknesses a lot many of them.

And then there are people who asks for it because of financial reasons.

we can all ask for it. Let's all make babies and ask for it. And decide on having weddings and ask for it (now these two has nothing to do with you!) these are choices made that has nothing to do with uscis.

Your case is different and again as when you were asking for an expedite, someone was also asking for it to save money. So maybe just maybe if you think most of those comments were not really about your case.

I know most weren't directed towards my case but people shouldn't be so judgemental. Maybe my sickness that I'm going through isn't serious enough to someone else who may be battling cancer or something. That's why I keep saying no two cases are the same. But if someone feels they qualify for an expedite then shoot for it. Who can really blame anyone for wanting this to be over with? It puts people in situations that'll make them try anything. Can't really be mad at them. I end up thinking I'm so thankful for having so many trips to see my fiancé when I read some people haven't seen their significant other in over a year. You know?

I do understand that extremely.

and again your situation or anyone for sickness and humanitarian reasons Gould also have an impact (some gets lucky with this in a sense at least karma gives something back to them)

my concern back then and still now is cases that has no basic but poor judgement calls made before, hence if everyone to do that causing the chaos of everyone applying for an expedite.

And if every 500 out of 4000 apply for expedite, because I have a wedding planned, guess how this situation would look like?

My my concern is to only explain to how those cases work. Cause in the end if that happens it will also affect them.

but I said back then too if you have a legit reason anyone should give it a try, cause it won't delay the process (as far as I heard it only causes a week delay or not- but nothing official about this cause it is just vj talk)
