What a beautiful story!! Amazing.

Why can't these kind of stories be on 90 day fiance? Not the non sense that girl has with Azan in Agadir. Makes me sick to watch her!!

I guess my fiance is just nervous because he was working and then he lost his job and was living off of savings and a few investments he had going. I think when he gets nervous, he makes me nervous. but, i really should just sit back and relax and know that our relationship is real. You must be so happy that he's with you now!

Yeah, it's refreshing to hear that not every couple going through the Casablanca consulate is in some kind of fraudulent marriage or for purposes of obtaining a green card.

We are definitely happy that the distance is over. He is still getting settled here in the US. He's really not too happy about the foot of snow outside where we live right now, but he did have a good time going sledding yesterday! He also just recently received his work and travel authorization, and is now starting the job hunt, which has been a little frustrating for him. We also just purchased plane tickets to go back and see his family in Morocco in April. We haven't told them yet, and are planning on just showing up at the home to surprise them. :D

Hi Jeff - That's correct. Sometimes they are accurate. I think the best thing to do is just try not to think about it!

The good news is that June/July are still in the thick of getting approvals, and they're starting to roll out some from August. You'll be there before you know it!

Thanks Jaquelly - appreciate it. I'm attempting to build out an estimated timeline for my partners arrival to the US. Wasn't sure if anyone had any thoughts on estimated timeline from NOA2 to K-1 visa. I've used the VisaJourney estimates to set it at 9 weeks. I've based it on the UK Embassy waiting times and being relatively conservative. Any thoughts from any one would be greatly appreciated. I'm currently with CSC and my partner is from the UK.

I will be honest with you - do not plan ahead.

Anyone will tell you that USCIS is unstable and you cannot go off of the timeline estimates. You could run into a RFE, something could happen with immigration, you could get a document lost in the mail - the possibilities are endless.

For example: When I filed in July of last year, They estimated that I'd get adjudicated in August... Then September... That continued until January. Then, my 'estimated' date passed (as it has for many who are still waiting). I did not get my actual approval until Feb 9.

With that being said, NVC waits were beyond 30 days just a month or so ago.

Please, please, please do not make concrete plans, buy plane tickets, etc. It is almost impossible to predict and we've seen way too many people do it and then regret it down the road.

^^^ I second this.

My partner is also from the UK, and our "realistic" estimate is still about 4 months from now. Medical takes time to arrange and book. There has to be at least a two-week gap before the interview to ensure the arrival of the medical evaluation to the Embassy. Anywhere from a week to 2 weeks for documents to be returned. And before all of that, it has to process at NVC, which can take anywhere from 2-6 weeks, depending on if you get lost in a stack of documents or not.

Our wedding was supposed to be end of May, and we ended up having to move it, which caused a lot of unnecessary stress (we honestly didn't know better when we set a date). USCIS speeds up and slows down with no real rhyme, reason, or explanation. Never make any solid plans or book tickets until you have your visa in hand.

I'm at 160 days and feel like it'll be another 20-30 days before I hear anything back. I don't know I keep thinking of being in the 180's and hearing something. Praying by May this is all over. And our loved ones are with us! We should all plan a Disney vacation "Sept Filers Vacation." Haha :P

It would be hilarious...hahaha ...well...this will be a blessing for us to be ready in may. Well.. my case is in California since I am from Brazil . So don't know , maybe for Vermont for instance this will go by quicker ...but if I am able to get married to my woman and finally be united with her and my 10 year old stepson at least in June..well.. that's gonna be a present because I turn 28 on July 1 . Wish I could be there by then 😃

All k1 cases go to California. It has nothing to do with your country.

you don't want to go to Vermont, cases with necessity for extra criminal background checks go to Vermont.

-----

@ChuAni I need another dollar for regulars. I even had the "you don't want Vermont" part! 😂

Lucky packet, right? I wouldn't mind even a 26-days-long plane ride if it brought me to my fiancée xD

I'm in the same boat; living in Tajikistan, which doesn't process K-1's, so I'm trying to figure out how to get my fiancé permission to enter Kazakhstan.

Anyway, I'd spoken to the U.S. embassy in Kazakhstan about it. Kazakhstan, and other third-party interview countries, can refuse entry to people entering solely for visa interviews, and since it's "their country, their rules" the best the U.S. embassy can do is give you the visa interview documents and hope for the best. My recommendation, while I'm not sure how strict or lax Singapore or Malaysia are with their "entering for visa interview rules," it might be worth contacting the embassies beforehand, if they have a presence in Brunei-Darussalam. Or, perhaps even having the petitioner contact the embassies of Singapore and Malaysia in the U.S. It may seem excessive, but you can try to get the beneficiary a special permission to enter with a one way ticket. I wouldn't generally recommend it, though, strictly for the possibility of administrative processing.  You may be waiting a indefinite period of time. Ultimately, though, a third party country is worried about the potential that the beneficiary is a flight risk. Are they going to enter my country and try to live or work illegally? So you can at least try to nip some of the stress in the bud beforehand by seeing if the embassy can offer you any help. Sometimes having the U.S. citizen vouch for the genuine intent of the foreign fiancé can help smooth out the entry process. So if you do want a one-way ticket, see about contacting the embassy beforehand. The worst they can do is say no to a one-way ticket, so it's worth a try. Good luck!

Thanks for the good advice, I really appreciate it. But yes, it just seems to tedious, with no guarantee in the end.

So I guess the simpler and safer route will be to get an open ended ticket. I've asked and apparently, it's just slightly more than a round trip ticket so that's what I'll do.

Thanks! All the best to you too!
