guys, a little help. I am the beneficiary. My fiancee's auntie and her husband are gonna be my co sponsor since my fiancee doesnt meet the PGL. well... since my co sponsor is married, she and her husband do tax together. both of them want to help us out. so I am taking to the interview all the financial proof for both of them such as w2, paystubs, job letter, bank account from both of them, besides their tax return and a letter signed for both of them testifying about my relationship with my fiancee and that they are willing to support me financially. . well, can both of them be my cosponsors SINCE they are MARRIED and live at the SAME HOUSE, and do the SAME anual tax ?

I believe they can be. Each of them will need to complete the  form I-134 Affidavit of Support. Just because they file their income tax jointly doesn't mean that each would meet the 125% Poverty Income requirement. The I-134 will reveal how much each one makes and what assets belong to them. I believe, for example, if they have co-owned bank account, they would split the balance amount to show that on I-134. If they are self-employed with equal partnership, we assume its 50/50. If any of them, receives unearned income such as retirement, compensation, disability etc, that would also be revealed for whom is receiving them. I hope that makes sense but don't rely on my opinion lol

My bad. My apologies...it's a different form for sponsor... I believe it's I-864.

Oh...but for k1 visa , it's just 100% of the pgl. For AOS it's 125%

Yes, that is correct 100% of the pgl for K1 visa. 125% pgl is for CR1 visa

It's good to have co-sponsors as an option and back-ups just in case your petitioner may not meet the income requirement.

The way USCIS looks at it as if your sponsors or co-sponsors have stable income such as steady income from employment, retirement benefits, veterans benefits are all forms of a long run income. Unemployment or short-term benefits are not.

Oh they have. They together make 60000 a year. They don't have any mortgage ( they own the property) , they have 3 cars. They have a pretty steady job and a high credit limit due to the amount of money they make a year . For AOS we could simply put together their income with i864 and i864a , since they are married and live at the same house. Because i134 form doesn't allow to combine incomes from the SAME household ( I know we can't combine the sponsor and co sponsor though), both of them are gonna be my co sponsors , and separately they make 100% or even a little bit more of the pgl. I am taking with me a letter from them in support of the relashionship and testifying they want to be my co sponsors together , besides their w2, tax return , bank statement, job letter, etc..

 k1 visa can only have 1 co-sponsor.

Chose one one who has higher income, if you put things like jobletter and w2, the embassy can see the real income.dont worry as long as one reaches the 100%.

Hey guys, I have been reading along for months now, and I'm so glad with how far we've come and how soon we'll get our NOA2's!!

Special thanks for @Naes cause what would we do without you :o

But if anyone could help me, cause I feel like I'm not out of the woods yet.

4 months ago I posted in this topic, cause there was alot going on with our petition and usps, not receiving our NOA1 etc

(we filed august 30th)

Back then this is what our case status was:

Quote

On September 22, 2017, the Post Office returned your document to us. We will hold your document for 180 days or until March 21, 2018. Please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request that we resend the document to you. If you do not submit an online request by March 21, 2018, we will destroy your document and you will need to file a new Form I-129F, Petition for Fiance(E), with fee. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

We contacted uscis, they told us that the document they were talking about was NOA1

So we put a request in and by the end of october they re-sent it and we got it.

(the paperwork stated NOA1 - sept 5th)

This is all very awesome, but our case status still hasn't changed online.

I'm kinda lost on what we should do? If we should do anything at all.

Because NOA2 is around the same date they state we have to file a new form.

So I wanted to ask you guys first before calling them, since they're finally on a roll. :)

To end on a positive note: Every minute passed is a minute closer to when we get to marry our loved ones!!!

Just keep swimming

I-129F sent: 08/30/2017

Packet 3 received: 05/09/2018 (7 days)

With our time drawing so close to getting the NOA2, I am so excited, yet at the same time so overwhelmed.

I'm beginning to have anxiety on all the things there's to be done once we obtained the NOA2.

Although my country has a US Embassy but they do not process immigrant visa (they class K1 as immigrant visa over here).

They told me I'll probably have my interview done in Malaysia or Singapore.

We're gonna push for it to get to Singapore.

Question is, since I won't have a return date when I book my tickets, can I buy a one way ticket?

Will the Singapore IO let me enter, especially since I'll have all the proper documentations with me to show I'm there for an interview and I'll buy my ticket home as soon as I get my passport back from the US consulate (with my K1 visa in hand hopefully).

Any insight would be so appreciated!

As long as you have the paper I wouldn't worry about the rest.

what I would do if you're worried is call them again just t ask if the status was ok (your new status should be "document was mailed" because they resent it to you)

but again you can call to confirm and just ask I think I received it but your site still says this. So did I miss something else? If so send it to me :)
