At this point it is just kind of funny...We went from 45 days ago to 44 days ago as our anticipated NOA2 date.  I wonder why they even bother...It should just be filled with question marks at this point.

While we are outliers, it is obvious that things are moving much better now.  I wish we waited until August or September to file.  Things look to be much quicker and easier for you.

I don't think your case has anything to do with August or September.

It can happen at any month, it always happens.

It is not just June or May, it happens in any month, its just this lottery seems like it hit you... Do you have any idea why it can be?

Like maybe because you're bringing young adult kids they're taking extra on background checks? or maybe because as you mentioned Rose lived abroad a lot in different countries?

USCIS background checks on the beneficiaries would only be based on names and they have so little information that it would be useless. I do not believe they do anything but run names through INTERPOL.  They only have names and are not even required to have passports yet.  The beneficiaries get their check after the interview when the CO will have more information.  They don't know Rose lived abroad yet since that is also information delivered to the CO at the interview.  There is no place in the I-129f for previous addresses past the last 5 years.  There is no rhyme or reason.

Things feel much quicker now than they did 6 months ago.  I just feel that August and September (and beyond) will start seeing more constancy and speed in the approval times.

Hmm yeah, if it was before 5 years than I have no idea!

it's just I did see a January 2017 case who waited on security checks till December and then got an RFE. so theres one case in every month at least.. (But eventually got approved at least)

I wonder if that is an excuse?  In the US we can buy an assault rifle and that background check takes less than a minute.  We do have to wait 3 days before we pick up the gun though.  I have to assume that the background check on any US citizen would be that quick unless they find no record of the person at all.  Then it should be transferred to Virginia.

I can't imagine any security check that takes that long unless it is a common Muslim name in a Muslim area.  I suppose that same would be true for a John Smith here.  There really is limited info on the beneficiary at this point.

I'd love to hear their story but at least they did get approved.  Do you know what the RFE was for?

Yep that is ridiculous how much people wait here, and how they can get a gun in an instant almost.

Hmm not really, you can find the person, as they posted in Jan 2018 too (that was also when they got approved)

You should definitely be excited!  They are hitting August good now.  You are getting close.

I do hate posting in other threads because of our situation but I want you all to know that we are not normal.  We are an anomaly and while there are a few a month, we are really quite rare.  There are just a few of us in 1000 petitions.  Get excited.  This is happening.
