Hi guys! Do you think this is getting better? I’ve been here in USA for one month already. My fiancé doesn’t want to make any plan about the wedding. It’s crazy right? We don’t know when or where we are getting married, besides that my engagement ring was stolen. I know my fiancé won’t get me another one cause he thinks I lost it, but guys I promise (I WOULD LOSE MY FIANCÉ FIRST THAN MY RING)I loved it so much. I’m so so so sad. We don’t talk about it but I know he is mad at me (he has the right) 😩

One of the happy filers to see their timeline reduced by ONE day. :)

That puts our petition solidly at the end of March. Today marked 140 days since NOA1.

Time finally feels like it's flying by. I just can't wait until the day we have a visa in hand!

I hear you. It's not easy. I've taken 6 trips since last Feb 2017. My butt is becoming a pancake with these long flights.

Omg. Reading this is so relatable.

I just got back from my 3 weeks trip visiting him too.

24 hours of flying in 3 different planes, not inclusive of those painful long transit time (one of the transit was about 9 hours long).

I am so fed up with airports and air planes.

But hey, anything to be together right?

Hoping the next flight out is a one way ticket!

Hi guys, what a nice day! We are so so happy!

So, our visa moved forward one day, for everyone is just one day, or any of you got a few more? Fingers crossed🎆 my fiancee believe we'll have our NOA2 in February and we are late September fillers 😂 let's not spoil the hope, right?

And btw, how you guys get all the info you post here, we are amazed with this group power, thanks for all your effort!

So my fiancé had the first warm up encounter with uscis: summary, we know as much as tier2 in general...

getting to a tier 2 was a seconds job.. he used the Spanish line, and because he knows Spanish he just apologized and ask for a tier2. he didn't even understand why I made a big deal of it. And as the guy was so nice and easy to talk to (he likes japan obviously)

tier 2 confirmed whatever we know, and my fiancé confirmed that we know actually more than them in general timelines of the cases.

background checks unless it is sent or came back cannot be known btw. So so far tier 2 couldn't see where our case was and said CSC doesn't do it so unless it's back or not send yet they actually have no info on it.

about the backlog, nothing really new, but he didn't even lie about june 27 bs at least. He checked and said if I estimate I would say you'll get it in 2-2.5 months (duh, really dude I can say that too!)

the jokey part was in the end tier 2 saying "but the valentine day is coming up, hope you get something before that, man" (this is a full quote yes it included a "man" in the end- I'm scared my fiancé will befriend everyone in the uscis by the end of this)

so my answer to this unlike my fiance was: well it's good I didn't call cause I would say there are probably about 100 May cases waiting, an easy 700 june cases waiting, and the rest till September would equal to a 5000+ but yeah sure we'll get it by valentines...(my fiancé thinks with this info they would refer me to the head of CSC...)

he concluded, "you know more than they do"

we will be back with uscis fun fun adventure times after August starts- stay tuned!

Hey September people! I'm a long time lurker on here, but I'm getting really antsy and the best way for me to chill tf out is to do some research.

So I've been keeping up with everything on here for a while in terms of service center workflow and stuff, but there's a couple of things I don't really get and I'm hoping you guys can help me out so I can get that false sense of control again haha.

First thing is the scans that I see a couple people doing, but mainly @Naes(literally everyone's hero); how do you do them?? Where do they come from?

Also second thing is the service center processing dates: When I check the uscis website there's two dates ("Field office processing dates for CVC as of: November 30, 2017", and then the date on the chart, 27. June).

I know people have talked about it on here, and maybe I've just not gone far enough back to find an explanation but someone pleaseeee tell me why there's two, or direct me to somewhere I can find out cause it's driving me crazy! Since I've been keeping up with the scans I know the June date is cause they're working on June petitions but why November????

Ok thank you that is all (F)

Uscis put the data of 2 months ago on their website. It means the furthest date day touched by November 31 is claimed to be 27 June (which is a lie btw they didn't even go as far as mid June by then) but it is a good thing, it seems like they're trying to keep a 5 month ratio officially.

scans: I am just doing what case tracker app does but instead as a bulk in a computer by using a script written by a veteran member. You can do the similar thing with the app. But as all the data is shared we don't send out to script every where. Because even with only 5 people doing it and everyone else using the app the server overload. Hence I only arrange 1 person in each month to do it... because the info doesn't change whoever does it anyway.

Ooooh, I see!

I just assumed since the June/July filers are getting their NOA2s right now, 27. June was officially the last date touched when the website was updated, which says at the bottom of the page 29. Jan. I haven't even thought about the processing that happens AFTER it's touched.

Thanks for clarifying and for all the work you do on here!

Let me know if you guys have useful sources of knowledge when it comes to learning the language on a more advanced level :)

I used to get a "word of the day" from my dictionary app on my phone! It's a bit hit or miss as to how helpful it is for a learner. Some of them are a bit too fancy for me to remember cause they're just not used that often. Some recent words; Heartsome, reverie, earworm, ad absurdum, silver-tongued - on the helpful side, for me anyway, and then maladroit, quodlibet, obsequious - personally, not that helpful haha. But they all come with example sentences, from books and stuff, so they can be quite good.

I play word with friends with my father in law... which is really funny because I win all the time

I told him thats because I know how linguistics work and he says he learns a new word everyday....

(I admit I have no idea what half of them means so maybe I should start learning the meanings.....)

well they say it is to "gather the data"

I'm about to call them to tell, I have the data and that mine is more updated if they could only start updating approvals online I could give it to them.....

just for entertaining:

when I signed up here, my timeline was showing 1st week of January as NOA2 date.

until a few day ago it was March 25, and now it bounced back to March 24th :D

sad for the big jump from jan to march, but happy to win 1 day!! (it's the little things that count right?)
