Happy New Year, everyone!  Hoping all is well! :)

As we crawl closer to (or past) the 100 day mark of waiting for the NOA2, is anyone else feeling kind of silly for choosing the K-1 route over the CR-1?  Especially with all of the costs and waiting for EAD, etc.?  Of course, it would be even more ridiculous to start all over from the beginning, but it seems like the CR-1 is still roughly the same amount of time at this point -- with less costs involved.

I know that the reason my fiance and I opted for the K-1 was because we believed it would be quicker to be together in America, and, for a lot of people, the reason was to specifically have their wedding in America with friends/family.

Feeling a little more blue than I should be on this holiday.  Hoping I'm not being too much of a bummer! :D

I keep telling my fiancé that if I'd realized just how screwed up the K-1 Process has gotten, we would have just gotten married after he proposed to me in May. We would've been done by now! Or even if we'd gotten married in the UK when I visited him in September, we'd be in about the same place without as much stress.

We didn't choose the K-1 for the length of the process. We just didn't really know our options. We went into this process kind of blindly, and have been figuring it out as we go. But it is frustrating to see that this is now the more complicated, stressful option at this point in time. We've resigned ourselves to the fact that things may not work out as we'd initially thought, and we may have to change our wedding plans, but it doesn't make it less disappointing.

I'm definitely feeling a little more blue right now, as well. But we're all in this together! We're going through a really rough process, and we're all entitled to feel a little down about everything- especially when it means we're away from our loved ones!

Stay strong, friend. Just remember- we're all about halfway through this process now! We have the rest of our lives to spend with our loved ones. Even if it's difficult now, it's worth it. :)

Oh, definitely. Especially when the date on the timeline pushes back every time I look at it. From end of Jan when I first created the timeline, to mid March now. And I have a feeling it will push back even more.... Had we known what we know now, we would definitely consider the CR-1 over the K1. But we didn't know at the point. Like you, we opt for the quickest route to be together and K1 WAS it.

All we can do now is wait and hope for the best.

I believe the wait for NOA2 is around 180 - 200 days...  Maybe I'm wrong, but I think it can be different for everyone.  If I'm not mistaken, some people who filed back in May are still waiting?  Not entirely sure.

I was being over-optimistic thinking that it would only be 160 days, but I'm leaning more towards ~190, and that might be my optimistic guess.

Think about it this way, though, we're almost certainly half way (or more!) to getting to the NOA2, right? :)

I mean total wait time between NOA1 and NOA2, not until visa in-hand or POE.  Sorry, figured I should clarify.

Yes atleast we are half way on getting the NOA2 😄 But I’m still hoping we will get our NOA2 this January 😂😂😂

Hey guys! Received the below email from USCIS earlier stating they tranferred some non-immigrant worker petitions to Texas. Not sure if that’ll help CSC and speed up our approvals but I hope so!

Today we updated our website to reflect that we have transferred some of the following cases from the Vermont Service Center and California Service Center to the Texas Service Center:

  • Form I-129, Petition for a Nonimmigrant Worker, for petitioners seeking L nonimmigrant classification

That is I-129 and NOT I-129F. I don't think any of our cases got moved then. Or am I wrong?

Hey! No you’re correct it is I-129. However, I wasn’t sure if them transferring those types of cases would help with the the processing times in CSC overall.

Hi y'all! I live in Minneapolis and my fiancé is from Bosnia. I received my NO1 email 8/31 and NO1 hard copy Sept. 6th. My case status online still shows "case received" and states the receipt copy was sent and if I don't receive it by Sept 27th to call them. Does anyone know if this will show the same status until I receive my NO2 or should it update? I'm in stress overload because the mortgage company I work for laid off my whole department as of10/27 so I have the opportunity to go visit my fiancé for a month but I'm worried if I go, I won't find a job in time for the NO2. I should be able to by Jan, which is when the estimate is for our NO2.

Hi there! I live in South Dakota and my finace is from Bosnia too! How do find out an estimated time for the N02? Wish you the best!

Create a timeline from your profile page. It will give you an estimate.

other than that we know they are doing june filers now and the wait is an average of 180-210 days at the moment for June filers, you can follow them to see the process.

It says as of 12-08, do we have an updated scan?

Also, my friend told me that when she checked the processing time on VJ for K3 that the date seems to go backwards. Yesterday for TSC, it showed June 18 and now June 12? Does anybody know why this is happening? I see USCIS is back on their feet and now processing applications from June, I really wish the best for all and that we all hang on through this process till the end, time goes by really fast. Let's count blessings and the days toward seeing our loved ones. Happy New Year ALL! :)

Thanks! Hope this helps cases that are in CSC mostly to move faster, I'm feeling for June filers. They've waited long enough. Keep the hopes up! Hoping for more good news from USCIS. God bless! :)

News for all- Got our expedite request denial today.

Called customer service line, where I was informed that this is final. But the representative was very kind and helpful. Informed me that as of 26 Dec, the CSC is processing cases from June 1st. He anticipated that processing times will speed up soon.

im really sad, so I’m going to go out for a bit, but I wanted to provide you all with some new information.

best of luck, guys.

Yes! Halfway done! Plus, time goes by really fast, it felt like just yesterday when we sent our applications and most of us has hit 100 days already so keep the positive vibes. I am distracting myself with school and work, getting a new place and stuff in place before my Fiance gets here in a few months and planning my trip back home to be with him through the rest of the process and come home with him. Praying for all of us, our time will come and we shall rejoice. :)
