No, I know right? :)

Oh that's nice! Where in Finland are you going? I've only ever been to Helsinki over the day. But some people who go to the north like to take pictures of the northern lights. It can be pretty cool. Depending on where you live in Russia, I suppose you may have already seen the lights though.

My fiancé and I will be seeing each other too, next week :D  We just made a dinner reservation for New Year's Eve, but I still haven't figured out a Christmas gift.

It's called How Many Days :) I like to look at this because it makes the whole thing feel more tangible. Even though of course my estimates may be wrong.

Hope both of you are doing well! ^_^

@LizM Thanks! Got the app downloaded now :)

We're doing okay for now. A bit excited and anxious for my upcoming trip to go see him in January. We have been apart for 1.5 years.

While we are excited, but we will also be using this visit to see if we're still good for each other or have we grown apart.

Needless to say, that's causing some anxiety. And then.. there's this stupid process.

I can only hope for the best and live each day as it is.

I hope you and your fiance will have a great time spending the holidays together!

This process is excruciatingly painful, I feel for everyone that is going through tough times especially this Holiday season and we are miles away from our loved ones. I have grown accustomed to celebrating all occasions either working or somewhere by myself but it all changed when my Fiance came all along but he's thousands of miles away and we're in a situation where we can't just fly and see each other, I have responsibilities and commitments I need to fulfill, I hope the people at USCIS would realize how hard it is for all of us. But of course we also don't know what the office is going through right now and why there is such a heavy back log but really all I want to do now is cry and then pray really hard and sincere as nothing will make me happier than to have this process go smoothly and I wish the same for all of you. Happy Holidays and keep the hopes up! God will hear and bless us. :)

Our NOA1 is on September 12th just a day after yours so I definitely know how you're feeling right now! I've been doing a lot of snooping and researching and based on what I've seen from other people's timelines and all, I'm going to guess that we'll be receiving our NOA2 either mid March or late March. They're currently approving June applicants right now but I also saw someone from the July applicants getting lucky and had theirs approved as well so I feel like they'll be starting July applicants by the end of December. January will most likely be dedicated to July and MAYBE a few August applicants. Then February will most likely be looking into August and a few Septembers applicants. If not February then March for sure will be looking into September 2017 applicants. Keep in mind sometimes people may get lucky and get their case approved earlier than expected! I wouldn't start to worry until our wait date passes 180 days. I'm sorry for typing so much haha just wanted to let you know what I've been looking into and what info I've got so far. Hope this helps! Also keep in mind, once approved it also takes time for NVC and interview stuff.

thank you for your concern into answering me.  well, actually  my fiancee and I will go and fight by talking to the congressman, calls , etc. We cannot just wait without doing anything. My Fiancee has a little boy and he and I had a strong connection. He needs a father by his side and my fiancee needs me to help her raise him and take care of her as well! Look, as of August the  cases number altered. they  decreased  if compared to march, may, june.  so that might influence the timeline big time.  anyways, I hope  I can get married at least around may/2018. our case is in CSC now.  what about yours? where are you from?

USCIS does not care about who has strong ties or who needs who, they will take as long as they like to deal with the adjudication of case files.

Alot of time you can put in a request to your congressman and or senator or even ombudsman and they will get the same answers you will have gotten.

I understand this. well I will try because down the road they are human beings and I know if I find grace on their eyes things can be a little quicker. Also I dont wait for a great miracle, though I believe miracles can happen. when I say quicker I mean a good time, at least around 180 days , not much.

Welcome to the both of you! :)  It's definitely plausible to expect around 9 months from NoA1 to visa issued at the moment (and thus 12-14 months from NoA1 to GC in hand). Please take a look at @Daniel P's post - case received date on the x axis. The upward trend is a cause for concern but at the same time, I haven't heard of any case historically where the standard K-1 processing times have gone up beyond 180ish days and stuck there. I can't remember where I saw it now, but one guy who had been lurking around these forums for years, said that when processing times hit 6+ months, cases are usually being transferred to other centers and processing times drop down to 3 months again. I can't verify what he said though as I don't have access to historic processing times and transfer information.

With that said, my fiancé and I are still hoping for a May wedding too, but at the moment June is looking much more likely.

NOA 1 to NOA 2 is getting close to 10 months right now then factor in another 6 to 8 weeks for NVC to get it and process to get you a case number, there are people from May at over 200 days right now and people at 45+ days waiting for case number from NVC.

Factor all together you are looking at total time of about 1 year just to get to embassy stage, they only way a K1 will be transfered to another service center will be to Vermont that does additional security checks other wise all K1 are dealt with at the California service center outside Los Angeles.

Noa1 to Noa2 10 months is a little bit over exaggerating I believe even if it's 210 days that would make 7 months. And let's say the worst case NVC problem continues (which is not an NVC problem but uscis problem really) 1.5 months let's say. And depending on the embassy the interview could be less than a month to 2 months.

I'm hopeful that we won't go beyond the 180 day mark or so. I haven't seen someone still waiting passed that. If we knew it was this backed up, my fiancé and I would have just done a marriage visa and I would have stayed in Morocco with him. I just saw him not even two weeks ago on my latest trip (5th trip) but Its never enough. We agreed if we didn't receive the noa2 by February I would come back again. I read stories about a few people staying with their fiancé in their country until they hear further. Not sure how! Considering you need proof of employment.. it's the only reason I came back!

6EF4F13B-C029-405E-8638-7165BD18C0F0.jpeg

I really hope for 180 too..

but to tell the truth there are lots of people who are past that. In May we have 210s quite little but we do. And latest average seemed like a 190+s

same goes for June most early Juners are already 180+

but do so I wish for a 180 and plan for that? Oh yes I do!
