Hello, do you know where I can get advice regarding CO Sponsorships in the Philippines? Im getting worried about denials with our k1 visa during the embassy interview. Heres a short background on myself. Im 23 years old  currently in second semester of nursing school. I recently got a job starting dec 11 but because of the rigorous demands of a nursing student i wont be able to work or not make enough money that reaches the income requirement to alone sponsor my fiancee once nursing school starts again end of january 2018. My father would love to be a cosponsor and makes well above the income requirement. I know Philippines is known for denying co sponsorships :( im really worried yall.

They dont allow for cosponsors in Manila. Consider doing the CR visa. (sometimes they dont ask for the 134 but if they do they expect it to be 100% of the poverty level and never allow for co-sponsors. Its up to their discretion and they just never approve it with a co-sponsor so people who know they dont qualify go the spousal route)

Hi all! I've been keeping track of this thread for a while, and have just been too anxiety-ridden about this whole process to post. I'm a September 5th filer, with an NOA1 date of September 11th. My fiancé is in the Sheffield, UK area, and we are crossing our fingers that everything goes smoothly, because we have wedding plans for May 26th!

This thread has been saving my sanity over the last few months. This process is so stressful, and it's so amazing to have people I can relate to and talk to now.

P.S. Does anyone feel like they're going absolutely insane dealing with all of this? I feel like this process has made me an absolute space-case. I get so much anxiety over having to just sit here and wait, with no control over anything. How do you all deal with the stress/anxiety?

Hello, out of curiosity , is anyone using Rapid visa services?

Hi,  we are using Rapid Visa. Rapid Visa helped us in every way since we both are busy. We are at day 77 since we got our noa1.

Many people say Manila will not use a co-sponsor when it comes to a K1 and some people say they will. Your best bet is to read the info on their website and email or call them personally and ask them and see what they tell you. 😊 Good Luck

BTW, here's the info for Evidence of Support:

n. EVIDENCE OF SUPPORT. You should be able to demonstrate that you will not become a public charge or be a burden on the U.S. taxpayers for financial support. A completed I-134 Affidavit of Support Form will be useful to the consular officer to evaluate your petitioner’s ability to be financially responsible for you. You should also submit your petitioner’s most recent U.S. Federal income tax return (Form 1040) and wage statements (Form W-2). Employment letters stating salaries and bank statements may be included to substantiate the I-134. Download Form I-134 at http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis.

Hi everobody, does anyone know when do the police certificates expire? Do they have an expiration date? And what do you mean by “calling the medical”? I don’t know if it’s varies from country to country, but in Italy where I eventually will have my interview, the medical exam is a day before your interview. Thanks In advance! September 11 filler here

In japan when you have your case number you call the medical place (hospital or clinic whichever you're going) and schedule it. Usually at least 10 days before he interview just in case you need titer test. Etc.. and so the results can reach to you before the interview.

it differs in every country.

for police certificate, it also depends on the country; some go with 6 months some with 12. Some normally goes with 6 but says it's ok if it is for immigration purposes. (This depends on the country you're going to receive the certificate from)

Legally they do.

but it is in COs hands.

many people have experience of rejection because of this, hence it is an unspoken truth that in most cases they end up not accepting it.

They actually don't. That's a sad fact. 😥

Yes and it is extremely unfair.. and all we can do is to warn couples beforehand like this..

because if they call they may get the answer such as look at the guidelines. Or we do (but we don't)

I wish I have some words or suggestion to help ease your stress and anxiety.

Truth be told, I don't think there's anything any one can say or do to rid you of them. This forum helps cos you know you're not alone but it doesn't make it less depressing.

The only person that might be able to help is your fiance. It is true this is an awful and stressful process. But as long as you have each other's back and support, you should be able to overcome it. Since you have wedding plans for May, that could be your focus and distraction.

I have to completely agree with you. My fiancé is from the valleys area in Wales and we both are going insane on consistently being asked when he is moving here (I’m from Boston). I’d love nothing more than to give our friends and families a concrete date but all we can do right now is look forward to short term things. Like counting down to Christmas. We start a countdown every month and it helps to make the time go by faster when we have something to look forward to.

They way I see it is my fiancé is in this process with me, he knows what we both are going through and even though our friends and families are supportive there’s nothing like being able to lean on each other when we need it. That’s what is getting us through this process :)

To tell the truth we are in the same situation, so we will just in case add a co-sponsor.

You will have a 4 months of work there, so pay stubs and employment letter should be enough to show. Were you a student before or just unemployed? Maybe that can make a difference.

Normally you take a months paycheck and multiply with months you will work there for an annual. And again in he ordinary world that should be it. But they are also looking for stable income...

i also read current position is more important.

so honestly I'm asking the same question...hope someone can enlighten us..

Yes, I was in my first semester of nursing school when i fell in love . I thought i could use my father as a co sponsor but now my hopes are shattering slowly. Now, im willing to work long hours as well as continue with nursing school just as long as i can get success with k1 visa in the manila embassy interview phase.
