I hope he can get at least some time off over the Christmas holidays to go back to TN, sounds like he needs it. I understand your pain and it's especially upsetting if you've been set on a specific timeline and then need to adjust it. In my opinion and from my experience, deciding to spend your lives together is not just something you do on a whim, it takes time to get to that point, and once you're there any additional waiting seems completely useless. Normal people just move in together, get married and are done with it. It is unfair, but I feel we have to see it as we're learning a lot about ourselves and our other halves, and maybe some day when we're arguing about the dishes we can remember these moments and remain humble because we fought more to get there in the first place. If that makes any sense.

I was just going to type something on the same lines, the waiting should prove the strength of our relationships, I know that doesn't help much when you are thousands of miles apart. I only get to see Colleen in person every five or six months for 10 to 14 days although Skype is a big help, the way we handle the separation is to imagine I am away on military service, those families are separated for months at a time. For us this has been an on going situation for a few years, I should have moved to the USA a few years ago but complications here in England  delayed that so it was the 15th September 17 when we could file the paper work.......... right at the time when the wait is at it's worst!  at least we know there is a wait, I do feel sorry for the May people who thought 60 to 90 days was going to see them authorized.

The only bit of advice I can give to people  is share your problems with us here, we are all in the same situation....... so don't let worried and fears build up, we can't change things,  but we can listen.

well unfortunately, that was the actual time it took for a while. I have several friends who actually did have their visa in hand 70 - 90 days after submitting.

It all started early this year with the long wait and nobody knew obviously.... and waiting 2-3 months while also packing up, selling things, quitting a job, all this goodness, is one thing. but 5-8 months is ridiculous. especially for the fees and increase of fees where we don't talk about a $ 20 increase....

but I agree, this is the place to vent and find people that are in the same boat that can calm a little

I totally agree over the wait, we are PAYING for this "service" if the USA Government were doing it free you might expect to wait,  the graphs the Naes and others have on the May / June site show (for the time being) that the  service center have doubled the amount they prepossess a day, September showed 80 a day was there limit, now they seem to be anywhere up to 200 a day although there is no pattern to it. it is a pity thanksgiving is going to loose 2 days

I read on a few posts that there was over time being offered so hopefully everyone will want to earn money before the holidays and / or to pay for Thanksgiving & Christmas, I am getting so cynical as I get older!

hey, whatever makes this process faster and speeds up things!

I wish we could find a job add somewhere and have one of our petitioners apply to get to the interview and find out all about it hahaha

I know we have an interview on here with an ex employee but that's a long time ago. things probably changed. or not?

The civil service and bureaucracy never change !  where would we be without paperwork! I can't believe  the I-129f form keeps changing every few weeks  and they reject the older versions! Now, that's  bureaucracy at it's finest!

Just got an app notification for a September 19th filer that was approved.. based on the case history doesn’t look like it was an expedited case so it’s a bit strange.. almost gave me a heart attack thinking it was mine:jest:

Sweetie I don't even think about it. It's an Expedite and that's it.

This people don't update anything correctly I wouldn't be surprised if they don't write about every expedite.

also I saw lots of cases got expedited without history 🤷‍♀️
