when we wrote the "how we met" we kept it pretty short, explaining our different steps of the relationship and why we decided to live in the US and no in Switzerland. I mean, after all, we added evidence such as pictures (about 20), copies of 12 flights back and forth, different travel in other places, phone bill copy of every 4th month, etc....

I believe they would give a RFE if your letter is 2 pages and you have 1 picture only and no other evidence (or evidence that they don't see as evidence enough). but not if you have a bunch of other proof for that relationship

Okay thanks. My description was a little over a page. I included 8 photos - 2 which has photos of her with my family and my family and her family all together. The other 6 photos are tied in to my story of how we met and everything leading to the last time i saw my fiancee. hm other evidence is passport stamps from me when i went to see her and her stamps when she came over here to US, boarding passes, receipts of hotel/resorts we stayed, movie tickets we both attended together. So all my evidence i provided supports everything i said in my description . Sorry folks, im just worried.

It is one third!

My expected wait time at the moment is 150-160 days for September.

Now if only May can pick up and June start showing up in the next 2 weeks I can be sure.....

I think I am very lucky with the embassy in Switzerland. When we got our NOA1 I checked and waiting time was 8 working days.

Yesterday I checked and it's 4 days!

When you want to do an appointment online you can actually even pick the next working day (one spot left) or so..!

Day 53 here :jest:

Wow, lucky you! At the embassy in Moscow people have waited for 2-4 weeks for the dates in December and January. Well, I hope they'll fix this little mess there by the time we have NOA2. And anyway my fiancée was going to come for inteview, so we will need some time for her to make visa and stuff..

do you count the days from filing or from NOA1? :)

I count from NOA1 date.... that's how I understood others do and is also the countdown on the timeline with people that go the NOA2.

yeah sometimes things can change soo quick, so let's hope by the time you have NOA2 that the waiting time at the embassy is quicker!

I am estimating another 100 days of waiting so... lean back, enjoy the show and prepare everything else we can

Yes, that's what I thought.

100 days don't sound too bad actually, haha.

Happy birthday to your fiancé! Next year you'll be together at his birthday, isn't it nice? :)

Hi September friends,

So, just for some brief explanation, I met my fiancé during my final year in college. After graduation, I worked temporarily as a waitress to make ends meet, until I was able to find a full time position. I recently received a job offer (yay!) which more than meets the income threshold as required in the proof of financial support. I start the position this upcoming January. My main concern, of course, is that the interview will be just shortly after that, and the Consular Officer might find it a bit odd that I just started the position which I'll be supporting my fiancé with.  I'd really rather not file with a joint sponsor, but would it be better to do so? I won't have a 2016 tax return from my new position, of course, but will a letter from my supervisor/HR certifying my pay rate be an acceptable substitute?

Thanks!

hi there - well to be honest, you need to be able to have the minimum wage and with all the supporting documents of the package 3 (with W2 etc) you'd probably still need a co-sponsor.

I'd recommend that you already look into that and find someone that will do it, so you are on the save side!

don't lose time once the NOA2 gets here and then you are not ready :)

Why does everyone keep saying w2's on the instructions for the I-134 list of supporting documents w2's are not on there its not a requirement if you meet the required amount now because this is a new job they may ask for that to see what you made last year on a previous job if you cant provide that then a co sponsor will be asked for

Love knows no reason,no boundaries,no distance .It has a sole intention of bringing people together to a time called FOREVER!!!!!!!!
