Hi Berries!

I would like to ask, we are still waiting for NOA2 (Sept 21 filer). My Fiance met the poverty guidelines but he would like to have his friend as a co-sponsor. He is currently living at his brother’s house since he works in different states remodeling walmarts. Would that be okay or can he have his brother be a co-sponsor even if they are living at the same house? What are the documents that they need to send? Thank you!

Yes of course he can :)

the documents is same as a normal sponsor, they may ask at the interview why you're using a co-sponsor when your petitioner already meets the guidelines.

Do you mean the beneficiaries current address or the petitioners?  My fiancee moved to a different apartment in the same town but works with the people that moved into her previous apartment.  Am I supposed to update her address?

meant the beneficiary if they live in one country and from a different country than vacuum called issues

I'm praying for us all

Is is anyone else feeling more anxious now than the last 6 months? 😂

Absoooolutely.

I hardly get a good night sleep now. At least with the previous months, you KNOW they're not touching your case.

Now, it's listening intently to your phone hoping it'll give you a notification any moment now, or thinking maybe the notification doesn't work, so you refresh the app and the USCIS case tracker website every 5 mins, or you wonder if you have silent NOA2, or will you be one of those where they are not touching til after they moved on to... october... november....?

Oh yea, the anxiety is real. lol.

Hi!! What day are you flying? I'm traveling next week too and I'm super nervous!! I've been to the US numerous times but given my situation and the country I'm from, I expect a lot of questions and skepticism - everyone is literally running from Venezuela and staying in the US illegally/applying for political asylum due to the current political & economic instability . I have a friend that works at the embassy and he suggested that I say I'm visiting some friends and never mention the word fiance. The thing is that if further questioning takes place, I'm assuming they might see the k1 visa application and that's a risk I'm not willing to take...or they might think I'm planning on staying illegally with those friends:jest:. Honestly, I feel much more comfortable telling the truth because I'm doing everything the right way and I have proof I'm returning back home. However, I'm sticking to the plan of not volunteering any specific information unless asked (e.g., purpose of your visit? "pleasure/vacations" if they specifically ask who am I visiting then I'll mention my fiance  and the k1 visa)

Hi there, in flying on Tuesday and my flight is to NY but my POE will be in atlanta , since I have a connection there. I understand your fear, South Americans has this scar of people going to US illegally, even with the best intentions we can't avoid to be nervous. But I'll not hide my true intentions, my only reason of going there is to see my fiance, it's not a holiday trip. And I would advise you to do the same, since they can be testing if you are telling the truth, if they already know you have a K1 application. I

And yes, just say if asked, and always the truth, that's the plan 😃 with a return ticket!

Can an affidavit of support be submitted before receiving the NOA2? Or do you have to wait until the NOA2 arrives?

Thank you!

It is not submitted to anywhere but it's sent to your beneficiary.

so yes it can be done before noa2.

Same!

It's driving me nuts. They touch a few cases and then stopped just 2 numbers before mine. That was 4 days ago.

So here I am in the office, refreshing the app every 5 mins.

Had a 2 hours long management meeting yesterday and I was using the app to scan cases lol.

Hi all

I've been a bit of a lurker on the message boards (Sept 11 NOA1 here). I thought I'd see if anyone had any insight into a mistake I made on our 129f....  I listed the wrong embassy on our form. I listed Recife, Brazil. However, the only location that handles K1's in Brazil is in Rio de Janeiro. I didn't realize this prior to submitting (as my fiancé had gotten his tourist visa in Recife)... Oops.

Have you seen or heard of this elsewhere? And know what kind of impact this would be? Since Rio is the only embassy that handles K1's in Brazil, would NVC just ignore my mistake and send to Rio? Or is it something that after NOA2, I need to call NVC and try to speak to someone about it?

Apologizes if this is a silly question... Thanks in advance for any insight!
