My fiance has decided to end our relationship. I've mailed a withdrawal letter to the service center. I wish you all good luck with your petitions. Hopefully yours goes better than mine

The distance can be an absolute relationship killer. I’m very thankful I live relatively close to my fiancé but most here do not. You are in good company. Everything happens for a reason don’t sweat it for too long!

Congratulations!!! :jest: So so happy for you! And so so excited it's getting so close. Let us know your progress with the embassy and all :D

You guys are all making me freak out and get super excited and also super anxious! I am so afraid that they're gonna ask me for more evidence and Im just going to cry! Me and Fiance havent been together super long so I feel like they're gonna ask for more. But I just have to relax and take it as it comes!

Create a visa journey timeline on your profile.

I created my via journey timeline but I don't see any estimated dates the letter arrivals of the next steps. It only offers me a checklist saying what I have received. How do it do it? help me </3

I am very sorry to hear this. With all the time, money and stress that goes into applying and waiting for this visa, I can imagine it is very discouraging to have this happen. But chin up! <3

Sorry to hear Sean. Went through something similiar with my fiance a few months back as her direct supervisor was trying his hardest to break us up. She was stressed for over two months as she was employed there from the constant pressure and battering from her boss. Thankfully we got through it but it deff was very emotional and trying for both of us.  Best of wishes my friend.

Things hadn't been going well for a few months. She became a different person after being promoted at work. She ultimately chose her job over me

I’m sorry to that! But the good things is now you know that she wasn’t the one. You deserve better, that’s for sure

Hi everyone! I'm sort of blind posting here... Haven't been reading the previous posts so no idea what topics everyone has been discussing. I wanted to post something that I recently learned from my Investment Advisor. He is dual, one parent is Canadian and the other is American. Interestingly, he is in the process of moving from Canada to the US with his Canadian soon to be wife.  I went to see him recently and he informed me I could transfer my credit (sorta) to the US by obtaining my credit score from Equifax. You can't really transfer your credit score over per se but if you do this combined with a letter from the bank , it can really help show your level of credit trustworthiness.

Also, I don't have to do anything special with my RRSPs. He said as long as I am a Canadian citizen, I can leave them here (I wouldn't have to withdraw anything or close the account). He explained that having them are a right of having Canadian citizenship so it doesn't matter where I am. I will ask him next time if people ever withdraw from their RRSP and transfer over into their future 401k? This I have no clue about.
