Hi! as most of the rules are similar to Russian rules here would you be so kind to advise if your fiancée is going to the interview with or without a kid? Mine is 8 years old.. So i am not really sure..

Thanks

Not sure, but for all the medical portion/interview they will both be in Moscow so I am assuming both will go and follow cues from the embassy staff. There is a childrens area there if they prefer to just speak to my fiance.

Hello,

I have a question regarding police certificates from foreign countries.

Would anyone be able to define what constitutes 'residency'. I've lived in Japan for 3 years (got my police certificate a few months ago) however I also visited my fiance in Germany. I made 5 separate trips (3 for 3 months, 1 for a week and stayed much longer than 3months when I received my Youth Mobility visa. I did not work in Germany or go to school during this time. We just travelled around together. Any ideas? Do I have to obtain a German police certificate for frequently travel to another country? I wouldn't say I lived there as I was mostly visiting my fiance

Guys on my embassy website, they require for family based visa application form I-1864 for affidavit of support. No where they mention the I-134 form for fiance visa. Does that mean they don't need any affidavit of support for the k1 process? Here is a screenshot of the packet 3 I found on their website

The K1 visa is a family based visa. You absolutely need an affidavit of support.

K1 is a non-immigrant visa and the most important part is that.

I-864 is binding for sponsors. It is related to the immigrant status.

however a k1 is not an immigrant unless got married in US within 90 days of entry and adjusted the status, thus they use I-134 which is not binding legally.

so if the marriage won't happen and the person goes back without adjusting status, the petitioner won't be responsible for them. Because in k1 a beneficiary can only adjust status through the petitioner (the name written on their visa)

overall, it is really hard to find specific info on k1 on most embassy websites, they usually mix it up with spouse visa. However, the affidavit needed is i-134.
