OMG I woke up and grabbed my phone and almost had a heart attack until I input my glasses on and realized it was not what I thought it was. There goes my wishful thinking. Oh all days to trick me too. Its my b-day

I woke up to that and had the exact same reaction! I came on here to see if anyone else had mentioned it, but it was too early. Boooo.

Happy birthday! :)

C'monnnnn USCIS. Get a move on.

Helloooo Berries!

I know it looks like we started a slow start at the moment, but I think behind the scenes are going strong!

We are having lovely news of silent noa2s!

Now let's hope they will move through that mountain called September 5 soon and give us a similar strong 200s in number just like August!

My personal berry himself is coming next week!

I sooooooo wish we could see our noa2 when he is here! What a lovely surprise it would be...

Anywayyyyyy,

is everyone slowly getting the police certificates ready?

If you lived in a country apart from where you are resident of right now, it may take a while!

So don't forget to check it ;)

I just gave my finger prints last week! (I thought the guy was trying to break my fingers.....)

The funny part is, I live in Japan and getting the one from Japan takes 1 to 2 weeks..... The Turkish certificate....takes a few hours.......

-------- REPOST

Hello Everyone :)

Here with weekly number updates.

*The last date touched is September 6.

Yes I admit I am also getting a little anxious on my day 170...never thought I would see this.

Weekly overall movement

Total 134 268 602 108 1112

*If your date falls before September 6, please do not forget to check your mailbox!

As we already know the dates with no to very little approval shown,  means noa2s are coming in the mail without update!

And even from other dates from approval updates, we see silent noa2s!

Police Certificates aren't required from Pakistan, since every district might keep their own police records and there's not necessarily a national database for sharing those records. However, you will need a police certificate from the UAE, and any other country you've lived in for longer than six months since your 16th birthday. Good luck!

@esyoue I am Canadian too and cross the border to visit my fiance every month.  I've been asked one time for proof of my return trip home and my flght itinerary and receipt were enough.  I would print off because I tried to pull it up on my phone and the guard said "no phones".  So I would print off any proof you have, i.e. bank statements, letter of employment, or copy of NOA1 etc.

Thank you for your help!

My fiance is Canadian and he has been allowed to withdraw at the border because he didnt have "sufficient ties to Canada". That being said, we were driving across the border, he was planning on staying for the late summer / early fall, so we had a box of books and his gaming computer and lots of clothes, so I can see in hindsight why CBP thought it looked suspicious!

It honestly could go either way if CBP wants to be a jerk to you, but I would bet that if you have a return ticket and you're only going to be gone for the weekend because you have to be back at work on Monday, you'll be just fine. Just say you're visiting your fiance for the weekend, but have to be back for work on Monday.

Thank you for your help! I was going to bring my winter clothes but maybe I won't, just to be safe!

I know I posted about this before but I can't find the content. I had to amend my 2017 returns so they're not available yet because you have to submit the amended returns via snail mail. I know that if the documents requested are before April 15th, current year isn't necessary but do they mean if your interview is before April 15th? Because I'm not gonna wait to mail him everything else. (As of right now only 2016,15,14 are needed and printed ready to go)

Actually I know someone didn't get their approval and told to bring 2017 tax returns at their interview at the end of February.

Very strange considering that's kind of illegal? Lol.. April 15 is the cut off legally. And I originally didn't even file mine until the beginning of Feb. Unless this person who didn't get approved just filed it and just didn't bring it. I guess that's different. I don't have a return yet as it's being amended.

It's not illegal. That's a deadline, under normal circumstances everyone can file before that. The time that required for 2017 taxes finishes at 12/31. So the rest depends on the person.

but I think it would depend on the CO.

I am not sure where you heard this. That's untrue. A place of employment has up until the end of January to give you your W2. Other people need to acquire other documents. For instance, my W2 was given to me Jan 15. I had to wait for my health insurance documents plus my IRA documents which didn't come until the end of the month. No where in the USA are people required to file taxes before 12/31. We are celebrating NYE at this point. So if a person can legally file up until 4/15 - then being denied before then would in fact be illegal.

I didn't say file taxes before 12/31.

I said the taxing period is till then, as in they are going to calculate the taxes of 2017 that are for the amount between 1/1-12/31.

However it is not a rule to wait for April 15 to file your taxes. You can file even in January when you get you w2s etc. So if depending on your situation you can file it till then, you can tell them.

If you are living in US. And not using your taxes to prove anything you can wait as much as you want. However as even by January it is possible to file tax returns, then it is not illegal for them to ask for it.
