My fiance can't visit me (beneficiary) in Kenya as she can;t get time off, and this process is killing us, so I decided to risk a B2 visa interview, and had it today.... I GOT IT.

Got lots of negative advice saying it was a big risk but I am glad I went ahead. WIll be able to visit my fiance (if POE allows!) for a motnh and hopefully get NOA2 whilst in the states with her.

If anyone has considered it, its definitely possible :)

Have your ties and noa1 and your return ticket :)

it is really hard for many many but I actually believe k1 process is helpful in this. I saw many who got it too. (Percentage is bad though)

however great news!! Good luck at the Poe!

Yes its a funny situation isn't it?

I obviously have some sort of immigration intent with the K1, which should show I hjave NO immigration intent for the B2....

I think it is more of a "no immigration intend on this trip"

i know it is mostly hard for many people to get b2 even without k1 process; but if you have all the other parts (finances etc) good enough for b2, and with this you show hat your intent is clear and this visa will not be used for that, it actually ends up being your ties back home (coming back for medical and interview)

but alllll this again just a guess hehe

Ok guys, I got a question and I'm going to ask it here cause you all are in the middle of this.

My fiancé will be visiting me next week and he is taking some of the paperwork that we need for the embassy. He has his tax-returns from the past years with him but what exactly do I need from that? They are 30 to 40 pages in total. Do I need to copy all of that? And do I need the original or is a copy enough? My fiancé is a bit worried leaving the originals with me. He will need them if he gets audited and since his son moved out of the house this year and had some trouble filing, he is expecting to be audited.

Copy is usually enough.

I've seen the letters from package 3 and they're not very clear. It says literally copies not needed. But they can't expect me to give them the originals?

My interpretation to this by the way is an extra copy not required... but I'm not sure.

I had the same question in my head. I think you just need Form 1040. It's two of the pages somewhere in there. They're like a summary. I'm not 100% sure, but that's what I'm going with. I can't imagine needing the whole 30+ pages.
