I was approved in August and thought I'd share what my package, mainly my evidence looked like.

Remember, everyone situation is different, there's no secret sauce, and my package probably wont look the same as yours, mine is a little unique in fact.

My case took 8 months at USCIS, 2 months longer than average.

This was for two reasons, fees were increasing, and a new President were being appointed which led to a rush in applications in Nov and Dec.

On my NOA1 I had a priority date of Dec 20th, but on my NOA2 it said it was Dec 13th which matches the received date.

Being that other Dec13th petitions started getting approved after me, and when I searched my LIN in the app all the others near by were Dec 13th, I'm guessing that's the actual date and I'm not sure what happened in NOA1. It was actually odd that the original PD was a week later. Maybe human error.

Proof of Bonafide Marriage

Coversheet

This is just a portion of my coversheet showing the evidence section

  • Evidence of bona fide marriage.

    • Flight confirmations with credit card statements in ordered by date, includes:

      • 20 flights by petitioner to Mexico

      • 3 flights by beneficiary to U.S.

      • 1 flight by petitioner’s mother to Mexico

      • 1 flight by beneficiary’s mother to U.S.

      • 1 future flight as of this submission by petitioner to Mexico

      • 1 future flight as of this submission by petitioner’s mother to Mexico

    • Petitioner’s passport stamps showing trips to Mexico.

    • Photos spanning relationship from start through wedding.

    • Excerpts of chats from whatsApp spanning 2016

    • Receipts for engagement ring.

Copies of documents submitted are exact photocopies of unaltered documents and I understand that I may be required to submit original documents to an Immigration or Consular officer at a later date. Signatures on USCIS forms are original.

Photos

I did not get photo quality prints, I used regular inkjet paper, not even the fancy quality stuff.

I selected a series of photos from all my visits, I included some from every month.

I dragged them into google docs and resized them so they fit 4 on a page, and added captions below them.

Photos included

- The couple, preferably with a setting we could explain, like a tourist spot or event, but wasn't always the case. This was mostly in Mexico but some of the trips to the states.

- Lots of photos with family and the description identified who was who

- Photos with mothers from both sides in both of our countries

- Photo at my job (Its a well known name)

- Day of engagement photos, included engagement dinner with family

- Engagement party photos with lots of family

- Civil wedding ceremony with friends and family

Pages - 19

Chats

Like the photos, I included excerpts from every month and printed them on regular paper.

They included timestamps. I copied them from whatsApp web. Nothing was too personal, I actual felt weird sharing our conversations and was sure to included mostly general talk, some of it was from the airport when arriving and leaving.

Pages - 12

Yes only 12, some people try to include hundreds of pages.

Engagement Ring Receipt

This was pointless cause it doesn't really mean anything and there's no proof its the ring you used to propose, I just had it handy and included it but probably wouldn't if I had to do it again.

Flights

You have the breakdown above.

I did not include boarding passes or luggage tags.

I only included the confirmation print out, which I wasn't sure was enough on its own because you can cancel flights within 24 hours, so I also included printouts from my credit card statements and put them behind each of my confirmations.

This was the largest part of my evidence.

I also included copies of my passport pages to back this up.

Let me know if you have any questions, etc

Hope this can help someone a little.

Just wondering. Do you think as supporting for travel it would be good to send copies of your passport pages with the entry exit stamps?

I included it cause its absolute proof of the visits, they're hard to read sometimes.

As an American I don't get stamps on re-entry, its all electronic, only on the entry to another country.

Will you be side loading when you send your docs to NVC? I was reading it's not necessary, that only proof needed for this stage is if you have a sponsor and you have to prove your relationship to the sponsor.  However, they do not need any additional evidence to prove the relationship.  The post advised to take the evidence accumulated after the I-130 was sent (photos, additional chat logs, passport stamps, boarding passes etc) to the interview. And if they want to see more proof they will ask for it at that time.

I wasn't going to, I was going to do exactly what you mentioned.

You have to figure, you're already approved, the NVC is basically gathering docs and making sure its in order.

At the interview they may or may not ask about the additional evidence.

In a high fraud country like Mexico they might, but its probably also on a case by case basis.

I'll also bring the original proof I provided.

From one review I saw they were more interested in the police report than anything.

I called Tuesday btw and they didn't receive my file yet, I think I'll try tonight again.

I just logged into the USCIS site. As of today my case shows sent to Dept of State.

Actually it states it was sent on Sept 1st. I guess I will call again tonight as well.

I just got the same text message!

so that means they group them together and mail on a certain day.

Might be too soon to call with the holiday.

Even when NVC does receive it, doesn't mean they get it into their system right away, but probably need some days for that.

True, but I will call just in case. Just glad to see some movement.

Yeah I guess it doesn't hurt.

There's more notifications now, but I just want to be able to do some action on my end.
