Hi, I recently got married with a US citizen while I am waiting for my i-130 to be approved. My sister did the petition in 2012 and the case status says in processing.. anyway I go married and i dont know what should i do next.. like my husband send another i-130??? thanks in advance.

Registered Nurse- Retired- I practiced in the areas of Labor & Delivery, Home Health, Adolescent Psych, & Adult Psych.

IT Professional- Retired- Web Site Design, Hardware Maintenance, Compound Pharmacy Software Trainer, On-site go live support, Database Manager, App Designer.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

It's not voided. It's just that you can be the beneficiary of multiple petitions at the same time, and one filed by your husband will be much faster than the one filled by your sister.

well thank you very much... so bad we will have to pay again for the petition.  I will start with the petition and let you know how everything goes... thanks  again for your soon replay  and help 😊😊
