list or required shots

hello.. dose anyone knows wich shots are required to have for medical exam prior the interwiew? i know that if u dont have some shots they will give you but i was just curious... An one more thing... do you guys go to doctor and take the shots u need before the medical.... or u wait until then? should i take the shots i need now or is ok at medical... thank u

Vaccinations are not required for a K visa, unless your particular consulate has made a local policy about it. But the vaccinations will be required before adjusting status and for most people it is more convenient and less expensive to get them in their home country prior to getting the visa.

Shots ARE needed, I dont know if you come from Cleanland Yoderak...if Germany neads them then the rest will most likly also.

The vaccines required for Adjustment of Status for people between the ages of 19 and 64 are:

If you don't have written proof of those vaccinations, the civil surgeon will do a titer test.

Non-immigrant visa applicants, including K-visa non-immigrants, do not need vaccinations. Not until they apply to become immigrants by applying to adjust status.

Yes but dont you think that it is better to have them done before the AOS??? I mean we all still have insurance in our home country,during the time of the AOS alot of people wont have medical coverage in the US yet. In Germany for example the shots with an expetion of 2 are paid by the health system,so yes it does make sence to have them done before.

It is always good to the shots you need anyway,reguarding to Visa!!!

Everyone's personal situation is different. In some countries the cost of the shots is much higher than in the US. The point is, vaccinations are NOT required for K1s which are non-immigrant visas. They ARE required at the time of adjusting status in the US. If it's easier/less expensive for you to do them in Germany, do them there. For others who will pay significantly less in the US, they can choose to wait.

In practice what you are suggesting may be excellent advice... However, the OP asked what was REQUIRED for K-1 visa

Not only is it better to have them done before AOS, it's necessary to have them done before AOS.

If you're asking isn't it better to have them done before getting the visa, it may well be and I wrote as much in my first post in this thread. But not everyone is in the same situation, there may be reasons for a person to prefer to get all or some of the vaccinations after the visa, so people should know what the true requirements are and what their options are.
