We filed for the Green Cards & EADs for wife & two stepchildren in September (Chicago lockbox, we are in Minneapolis).

The emailed receipts were dated 28 September.

Biometric appointments done in October.

EADs received in November.

Since then, nada -- no letters, no emails, nothing.

A couple months ago when I entered the receipt numbers, it said the I-485s were pending interview, which I took to mean that we are waiting for them to send us an appointment notice.

Tonight when I check the status for the I-485 petitions:

  • Checking the status for a single receipt number yields a "User-defined error".
  • I added the case numbers to my USCIS account.  The I-485's are listed, but when I click on one, no info is shown.

What's up?

At the moment both IP addresses available to me (work & cell phone) are locked out for making too many requests.

As I am also still waiting (date 11 september) but for Atlanta, I checked the sytem, in case something was wrong with the website. The website works for me.

Are you using their new website? ( https://my.uscis.gov/account/applicant ) They might be shutting down the old website?

And I also have received nothing (EAD in December), but in my case (Atlanta) that is normal, as I might only start to get something from mid-May on (that was the earliest in line) and more likely after 300 days according to the average on this forum (I also checked anyone who has recently received their greencard, and calculated the dates; they are also around that).

For MN, it seems only Saint-Paul is an option (I am not sure however, you might be at a different actual office; there is apparently a way to check that with your zipcode), and they are at a horrible average of 399 days to get a greencard. So if that was your concern, then I don't think you should be expecting it any day soon, unfortunately.

Thank you, the new link works!

I have been Googling "USCIS case status" and that leads to the older busted site.

Hey guys, nice joining this thread. Just curious about how long it’s taking the USCIS Application Support Center Norfolk, Virginia to schedule an interview. Any stories to tell? Have you had your interviews scheduled already or still waiting. Will very much appreciate any information. Thanks!

Hey! I have my interview next week in Norfolk, VA.

It seems as though Norfolk schedules your interview fairly quick after your EAD & AP are approved. I received my EAD combo card one week and the following week I received my interview notice.

 Hi guys.

I'm an August filer. My status has changed like 3 weeks ago from Ready to schedule an interview  to "USCIS  cannot provide information and to call a number" I called and there's not a direct option to speak to somebody. I am worried now. My office is Hartford, CT and I know they are really slow but my medical will expire soon and my panicking levels are just rising.  Any word of advice?

Anybody else waiting for Hartford office too?

Thanks

Have you opened an account with the new website? myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov

The old one has the same status for everyone. I am waiting for interview to be scheduled but on the regular site without an account it shows me the same status.

Try calling that 800 # that is provided. Select 2 after selecting language preference. You will need your case#. Enter it and it should give you options to speak to a representative. Note that they do have set hours, so after 6 pm i believe there is no personel available.

Ive seen that people have requested to speak to a tier 2 rep. It depends whp is on the other side and how much info they will give you.

I've called and they basically read my current status. But i did not request to speak to a tier 2 officer. Just reapectfully ask to be transfered to a tier 2.

Man that Sucks. I know how you feel cuz I’ve been waiting as well. After multiple calls and service requests, we received an RFE. We called a week after they received it what they requested and they told us to wait for a month and call Back. We finally received a notification yesterday sayd EAD is being produced. It took 8 months. Couldn’t be happier! Good luck and keep us updated.
