We plan on contacting our congressman on January 3rd if we don't hear any news by that date. That will make it 75 days since they received our RFIE documents and around 114 days since the orginal AOS documents receipt date.

Happy to a lot of approvals happening in this thread!!

I might be a bit impatient, but if I was you I'd contact them now, mentioning that even though you received a RFIE, it was unnecessary as you already had provided the document they asked for...

OMG, so I called USCIS, the lady didn’t want to transfer me to a tier 2 saying it could take 60 days before getting the combo card and because my approval notice was so soon to give them some time (60days). She couldn’t see my card being produced or sent in her system...I told her, you are also not seeing that my case has been approved, so I would definitely appreciate to talk to a tier 2 officer...she was speechless.

What I did to speak with a tier 2 is said to the person that I need to speak with a tier 2 so I can track my combo card, ask for ur tracking number and she will conect you with a tier 2! With me worked! Good luck

Yeah it worked, that's what I was describing...but she didn't want to anyway. I had to fight with her and give her compelling arguments. as she kept telling me she couldn'T see my card being produced so why talk to a tier 2 for a number...

Hey everyone !

Little update on our case... we had our GC interview this morning in Raleigh, NC and were approved! Our appointment was at 11:15, we were out by 11:45. They didn’t ask anything special except verifying information like our names, Birth dates etc. And then he asked me a few of the “yes” “no” questions like “have you ever committed a crime” and said we were all good. I should receive my GC within 2 weeks to a month.

I hope you all get appointment letters or EAD in the mail really soon, thank you for all your support during this journey :)

Hi guys!

First, Congratulations @Alexia TL!

We also had our interview today in Raleigh. We waited a little then the officer took us in. He made us take an oath, then looked at the case papers he already had an confirmed that we already had K1 approval and all the AOS papers had been approved. Then he asked my full name, address, profession and some of the questions that were in the I-485 form ("have you ever been arrested before", those type of questions). I replied no to everything and he made me sign at the end of the form. And that was it. He said we were approved and will receive the green card in the mail in 30-40 days. He didn't ask anything to my husband and it was easy and painless.

Also, as for my EAD, I received the card in the mail yesterday so less than 24h before the interview :jest: But is good  because they didn't stamp the passport and I need to start working on January 2nd :)

I hope everyone else's interview is as easy as ours!
