Mine remained unassigned but got approved like two days after . I think the status update with SR is same dilemma as status update for the case . Lazy IOs just wont change those if they dont feel like it. On the other hand many SRs are marked as completed but no answer or  generic letter that says : you are within processing times. So dont be to worried about it. I think it just raises awareness to your case. Also wait at least until day 90 to do congressional inquiry. I think thats the deadline they give themselves or have in the past. But your call

I'm not sure what you mean as far as it remained unassigned, but got approved two days after? Like your SR never got assigned, but you got approved two days after raising it :o ? I raised mine on the 30th ...and still nothing. Maybe you just got lucky.

Yeah, I am waiting for 90 days, I'm at 87 so pretty much there ;) , it normally take 2 days before your inquiry get assigned to a congress worker so I am pretty much getting there at this point. Not going to wait until I am at 110 days -_-, tired of their long processing time all along the process.

Hi everyone!

Been awhile since the last time I was on here. Just reading, keeping it quiet and patiently waiting.

Just received EAD & AP approval letter in the mail today!

took 87 days from Noa to Approval.

Receipt Notice: Sept 11

Biometrics: Oct 5

Approval: Dec 7

Praying for everyone's approval! Will update when my card arrives.

Was crying when I received my letter, been going crazy with all the waiting and depression.

God bless everyone!

Val

-----

Just to add  with my update, I put a Service request 1st Dec but still untouched. So I called 6th Dec to follow up and was approved the next day. I don't know if it was just a coincidence or something.

No update to my online case status.

And my i-485 interview was cancelled - from tier 2 officer and I asked why, he said cos my EAD application is still pending.

Anyone had the same story?

I put my request on the 30th, called today to follow up but didn't get much.

And I agree with @mustang85635, it's bs...EAD pending has nothing to do with that ...They could actually stop your EAD process because you are so close to interview, not the contrary...

Hello all,

Good news!  We got 2 letters in the mail yesterday approving EAD & AP.   83 days after our NOA1 for AOS.

Didn't check my mail till this morning cuz I had so many groceries going up the stairs last night, lol!  But it shows that it pays to check every day.

NOA1: September 19th

Biometrics: October 18th

Date of Notice: December 6th

Does that mean we'll get his work EAD in the mail next?  Can my husband start working or does he need to wait until that EAD arrives in the mail?

Do we still have to do the interview?

Thanks,

Forena

What exactly is going to arrive in the mail?  the work visa?

Thanks in advance for the info!

Yes many peoples SR stay at unassigned I would say the majority I see . But its the same as the caste status . The IO has to physically change that in a drop down menu and also process SRs accordingly . And we know how that goes with IOs and giving proper status change . They seemed to stop doig that like a month ago , who knows why

Its always recommended to start working once you have EAD , for verification purposes like E-Verifiy . Also you usually need a SSN for work so if he doesent have one then he can only apply with the card in hand . It should be a week from now roughly . You can call the hotline ask if a tracking number is available every day

Haha, my guess is they want people to stop comparing and expecting, so they just don't do it so we don't have anything to look at. When people try to check various number, it shows no one has been accepted and that way we have no way to be sure that people after us got approved for no obvious reasons.

Very normal it basically means nothing . It is standard procedure to have expedite assigned to an officer in one day that means that the IO acknowledges your expedite and you will receive an email with instructions usually for you to send a job offer letter or other reason to expedite. Could still be weeks for approval we have a few right now waiting for approval after accepted expedite . More waiting

Hi @andreita.89pp

As @mustang85635 says, this only means that they acknowledge you asked for an expedite. I received the same update and equally freaked out. But really means nothing more than that. You will receive a notification asking for you to send the job offer (if that's how you asked to expedite). Some people received an email, I however received an actual letter by regular mail (took 5 business days to arrive from the date they updated the online notification system). The will instruct you to fax the job offer.

Still waiting on the EAD/AP card though. Today marks 30 days from when I applied to expedite.

Similar situation here. I put in an expedite on November 21st and got the same updates and a couple weeks later was informed through USCIS Tier 2 IO that my expedite has been approved, and my congresswoman has even told me that my EAD has been approved and is in production, that was over a week ago, but have yet to receive anything in the mail like an approval notice let online an online status update. Every time I call USCIS they tell me the case is still pending, which is conflicting info to what my congresswoman's office told me. I think USCIS costumer service can just see the same online status that I can see when I check the online status myself, also their system is not updating properly so it's really pointless and a waiting game. How long can an expedite process take??

but to answer our question @andreita.89pp the order in those updates is latest info on top, so the request completed was the latest update.

When you call, have you asked to talk to a tier 2 officer? I would do that if I was you, tell them I contacted my congress people and received different information, I would like to speak to a tier 2 officer in order to understand why so.

Yes I already did that this morning. Tier 2 officer was really nice but couldn't really help me or figure out why the information is different in their system vs what they told me (personally I think their system is messed up - as a lot of people have gotten their approvals/cards in the mail without the case tracker ever updating as well). She put in another request on my behalf to the NBC to see what's going on lol but it's the 3rd or 4th SR I'm raising, I'm worried all this might be confusing them even more and might actually be slowing things down. I don't know, maybe I just have to be patient. Have you received your card yet?
