Well USCIS customer service is really no more help than the website...All the information they provide can be find online ...I know all of that ...I'm calling because I know your online status are not up to date -_-. I wasn't too frustrated because I'm at 87 days, but I really don't want to be stuck at 120...but now with the piece of non information they gave me I'm kind of frustrated. I knew everything he was telling me lol. At least he was very nice...

So neither the website nor phone line is helpful. Checking our mailboxes is the only thing we can do, provided that the mail is not lost...

Anyone with 485 RFIE got their EAD?

I'm going to send a congressional inquiry, this seems like the best option. Also, asking to speak to tier 2 officers...but I am going to wait a bit before doing that...I'm still at 87 days hehe...Oh and raising SR, but for August filers, a lot of them remain unassigned...

There are many filers still waiting who filed in July and August.  Most people seem to be waiting around 110 days.  Some lucky people are getting them more quickly but this seems to be a lucky few.

So - if you filed at the start of October you will probably have your authorisation at the end of January.  If you are lucky you might have it sooner and if you are unlucky it could be sometime in February.

126 days and still waiting. No RFE or RFIE. Expedited case with job offer letter and still nothing

Really annoying...and when you fill an SR, they give themselves 15-30 days to answer...but at the moment you are allowed to fill one, you are already out of normal processing time. This system is bs...

Your questions crack me up!

Some people have got their EADs as well as Interview letter. It depends on the Field Office and how busy they are. These are October 2017 filers.

Interview depends on field office...EADs are not supposed too...October filers who have received approvals remain a minority and incongruity.

Received package: September 13

Congrats! I am also extremely hopeful now since I also got an RFIE :P

I'm starting to be upset myself! No RFE, no RFIE, case has been ready to be scheduled for interview since end of October, so I was hoping I would finally be within "normal" processing time for this spectrum of the process...I figured if I had bad luck and was just kept behind for my K1, I was due to be lucky at this point ...Well guess not :( ...I just don't understand the way these people process cases, I understand certain things can slow us down...but given that my interview is ready, it means my background check was completed, so all there is left is to approve...given that I haven't received an RFE or anything what is going on -_- ...I hate USCIS so bad for not respecting what they say and being so vague in this process...I would just like to be able to work like everyone else. It's just so unfair that it gets to being lucky or not and not to the actual process...Guess I ended up in the pile of someone being slow again...

I'm sick of the backlogs and their bad excuses for being late and not respecting their own timeframe. I'm sick of their bad process and ways to inquire that just takes even longer.

Hang in there friend.

I have the feeling I’m on the lazy pile as well. I’ve raised 4 SR already to fix a typo on my NOA1 and nothing was done. Calling them doesnt help at all. They said a T2 officer would call me and it has been 4 days, lol! (The wait was 66 min). I called the next day and they said there was no need to talk to T2 for that,  just wait, wait, wait...

Hi everyone!

Been awhile since the last time I was on here. Just reading, keeping it quiet and patiently waiting.

Just received EAD & AP approval letter in the mail today!

took 87 days from Noa to Approval.

Receipt Notice: Sept 11

Biometrics: Oct 5

Approval: Dec 7

Praying for everyone's approval! Will update when my card arrives.

Was crying when I received my letter, been going crazy with all the waiting and depression.

God bless everyone!

Val

-----

Just to add  with my update, I put a Service request 1st Dec but still untouched. So I called 6th Dec to follow up and was approved the next day. I don't know if it was just a coincidence or something.

No update to my online case status.

And my i-485 interview was cancelled - from tier 2 officer and I asked why, he said cos my EAD application is still pending.

Anyone had the same story?

Bullshit lol, they dont cancel because EAD is pending, they cancel because double booked or IO got sick or whatever. You will be rescheduled. But trust me thousands have went to the interview with EAD pending.

Mine remained unassigned but got approved like two days after . I think the status update with SR is same dilemma as status update for the case . Lazy IOs just wont change those if they dont feel like it. On the other hand many SRs are marked as completed but no answer or  generic letter that says : you are within processing times. So dont be to worried about it. I think it just raises awareness to your case. Also wait at least until day 90 to do congressional inquiry. I think thats the deadline they give themselves or have in the past. But your call

I find it strange too. Cos green card could come first but I didn't bother to argue cos Tier 2 officers are being inconsistent with their spiel. Hoping to get scheduled soon.

ROC Process:
