Hi!

I just looked up processing times for the closest city to where I live.

How do I know what local office our application went to?  Is it on the receipt document?  Or is it just the nearest city to where I live?

They are processing I-485 from 1 year ago!  can you imagine?  Does anyone have times this long?  Can this be right?

bummer...:(

Hello ! below is the case history before and after I mailed the documents for my expedite request even though I had faxed it earlier. I did this because I was frustrated at the lack of a response so far and I spoke to a tier 2 officer yesterday who stated that there would be no harm in mailing my documents even though i had faxed them already.

Just wanted to give you guys a heads up !

Which address did you send it to, and who did you put it to the attention to? The division/team of the officer they give you? I’m about to mail out my job offer but I’m not sure how to get it into the right hands...

What are the lawyers advising now?

What do you mean? Lawyers have no input on the speed of the process. All anyone can do is wait.

Exactly , lawyers mess up more times then they dont. I have read so many horrible things, because they usually have hundreds of clients you are just a number to them too. They sometimes sit on the file for weeks before sending it off or make mistakes like no signature leaving blank fields. Its because the lawyer never fills any of them out. Always the secretaries and helpers... I dont trust other people to do such important work for me because they will never consider it as important as yourself. I did not receive RFE and I researched visa journey and the web a little bit, filed out with common sense and read all the instructions, seriously its self explanatory.

Dont trust what lawyers say, they will say wait or its normal . Always be on USCIS tail with SRs and phone calls. If not congressman will move things and its FREE

It may depend on the lawyer doing the paperwork.

You have to file a request and send the letter when they request for it. They send the fax details depending on which office your case is with

There are many filers still waiting who filed in July and August.  Most people seem to be waiting around 110 days.  Some lucky people are getting them more quickly but this seems to be a lucky few.

So - if you filed at the start of October you will probably have your authorisation at the end of January.  If you are lucky you might have it sooner and if you are unlucky it could be sometime in February.
