Fee based applications will not be affected anyways in case of shutdown. So AoS applications are fine.

Can we say the same for EAD/AP, if we didn't pay for those? Or are they considered fee based as well, as most people pay, in some cases the fees were waived because of other fees being paid?

I'm still scared we might be delayed in some ways though -_- ...So close, yet so far.

It's not about the money or fees you pay, thats not how government shutdowns work. Typically speaking, in the event of a shutdown most non-essential federal employees, like many who work at USCIS, will not be paid or go into work.

That's what I thought too ..but non-essential for who ...the ability to have a normal life, work, go see my family in case of emergency seem pretty essential to us I would say lol. Shucks they don't think so though...

USCIS is fee based agency, it will function as usual in case of shutdown. When shutdown occured last time in October 2013, USCIS worked and processed applications. Simple google search will help.

USCIS will work but they rely on other government agencies for background checks and other things. That may delay EAD/AP

It sucks, but yes, non-essential is as I understand it things like borders, emergency services, military, federal intelligence etc.

Unfortunately, it isn't that simple. I wish it were, but the reality is that DHS is one of the federal government's largest departments. While a good amount of USCIS money comes from fees, it depends on a whole range of other federal resources, agencies, and support both domestically and abroad to run effectively. Unless you can find something that specifically says USCIS will run 100% as usual in the event of the next shutdown, why proclaim it will function as normal?

I already mentioned about dependancy of uscis on other agencies in my other comment. So lets not stretch the discussion. If shutdown hapens then will discuss. Good luck.

Is this the EAD card since it is under “packages” in informed delivery and it is coming from “production facility”? PLEASE SAY YES🤞🏼
